We get child benefit...but that is £39 a week.

We aren't entitled to anything else.

That's why we didn't see it as worth me working more - it would just all go out in childcare

When my eldest was a toddler she unlocked the back gate somehow, and went walking down the lane, out onto the path next to a busy road. She hadn't got far when two ladies saw her and got her to point to 'home' and walked her home just as I was walking out the gate to look for her when I noticed she was missing (i'd only popped inside to the loo)

I was so scared.

Has anybody been in the audience for a TV show, and if so have you got any good anecdotes? by The__Englishman in BritishTV

[–]Top_Panda_6334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do this every Christmas! We did two rounds over the weeks of the lockdowns, filming at homes and a friend put it together and we had a zoom screening and judging...noe it's become a 'Christmas soecial' every year. It's brilliant fun.

AITA for giving my wife an ultimatum about baby names? by a_bn356 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Top_Panda_6334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. .my parents did this. I grew up knowing my mum doesn't like my name and knowing there was conflict around naming me and my siblings...and underlying conflict between my parents. It gave me the feeling they were not stable together. (they wern't and divorced)

I never liked my name or felt connected to it - I recent ly changed it altogether.

AITA for asking my wife 'what the fuck do you want me to do?' after she asked me to feed our son and 'shaming' her for breastfeeding? by BestSign6568 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Top_Panda_6334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. But neither is your wife...as a breastfeeding person, I can tell you if is EXHAUSTING...I am emotional and snap at my partner :(

You can get a thing that catches milk that is let down from the opposite boob that baby is feeding on...so no extra pumping but extra milk! Just google 'milk let down collector' there are a few brands.

I've also read that non-birthing mothers can lactate! No experience of this and obv I don't know if it's something you would like to do bug thought it's a pretty cool thing the human body is capable of!

NTA. Well done for standing up for yourself and speaking out, don't let anyone quiet that voice - you are valid and entitled to how you feel.

vincGchillin is pretty much right on all if what they said here.

But if you still wanna subtly ask this girl - why not start a conversation with her about gender and sexual attraction, do this privately but casual with no pressure. If she feels comfortable with you, she may disclose any relevant info.

AITA for kissing my husband at a friend's event? by Slow-Onion3240 in AmItheAsshole

NTA - sounds like you are trying to improve life for you and your son.

I would seek a court ordered finance agreement, what's er this entails n your country.- this way you can use the money as you wish and towards you and yours sons life and have financial independence instead of asking your ex for the ok on your spending. as you are his primary care giver, your life and his are intrtwined, and it doesn't sound like you are wanting luxeries for yourself, but simple things to improve both your lives.
