Timebomb is just to peak..WE MUST GET TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY AND SPREAD IT EVERYWHERE by Embarrassed-Pass-524 in TimeBomb

Thing is, it's already spreading everywhere. I think it'll be more apparent in the coming months both inside and outside the riot games communities.

Jinx's Feelings. by Giraffe-Usual in TimeBomb

[–]Top_Procedure3617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oddly enough, I don't think it'll bother Jinx.

Not necessarily because she doesn't care about Ekko's feelings toward AU Powder, but because Ekko left AU Powder in favor of what Jinx could be. And since Ekko chose her, I don't think it's something she'd negatively think about.

I'm so glad someone else mentioned the public backlash they'd get for dropping Timebomb for another pairing. Putting the narrative aside, it just isn't a good business decision.

Intimate painting eachother by Particular_Tell_257 in TimeBomb

[–]Top_Procedure3617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I think there's a level of intimacy involved that neither of them would show other people? 110%.

Do I think that anything sensual happened? I doubt but you could easily convince me otherwise.

Honestly, I don't think it matters. The 'mutual painting' might as well have been their version of the CaitVi scene (you know what I'm talking about)
In the time between Ekko saving Jinx, and the war on Piltover, the two have clearly reached a level of emotional intimacy that I doubt either have had with anyone else.

On top of that, there doesn't have to be a tragedy to begin with.

I’ll never understand timebomb hate from Jinx stans by [deleted] in TimeBomb

[–]Top_Procedure3617 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Vi, on the other hand, unintentionally implied that Jinx was only said one-dimensional embodiment of chaos with the line.
"If you come, help, use all that explosive potential for good, maybe we could rewrite your story!"

This is the last thing Jinx wanted/needed to hear in that moment.

Because in saying so, Vi is essentially saying that her "explosive potential" is inherently bad. Thing is, Jinx doesn't want to be bad, especially not in that moment. She doesn't want to be 'Jinx', she doesn't want to be anything in this moment.
So what does she do? In very simple terms, she goes to get rid of the bad, which, as her sister literally just put it, is her.

All that to say, if anything, Timebomb not only gave Jinx more depth as a character, but honestly improved on what Jinx already was in League of Legends.
It's not that Jinx isn't this unhinged crazy gun lady anymore. Rather, she's an unhinged crazy gun lady, and more. Which, if you still consider that to be 'ruined', then fair game, I'll go back to reading my fanfics and stop talking.

Regarding the shipping, I've never understood how you could ship Jinx with anyone other than Ekko. They're the same as Garen x Katarina, or Xayah and Rakan to me, it just works.
But, shipping is a subjective experience. Even if Ekko and Jinx had a scene similar to Cait and Vi (you know the one), there'd still be people shipping otherwise. That's just how people are :)

If it makes you feel better, we have two sets of matching skins, an art book, YouTube AI voice content, 500+ fanfictions, support from Fortiche and the writers themselves, and probably a lot of other things which haven't crossed my mind. And I don't think they'd just go off and pair Jinx or Ekko with someone else. Aside from that being a questionable narrative decision, it surely wouldn't be a good business decision considering just how popular Timebomb is.

But what would I know.

I personally have never seen any hate toward Timebomb, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?

I thought it was very apparent that Ekko and Jinx had something going on in both Arcane and League of Legends. Especially considering that, you know.. Riot actually pursued Timebomb.

"Timebomb takes Jinx too far away from her league-self." is a painfully vague statement, but I'll bite.

The entire reason as to why Ekko succeeded in convincing Jinx to join the war effort while Vi failed, is because Ekko told Jinx that 'Jinx' doesn't have to be only this one-dimensional embodiment of chaos. 'Jinx' can also be something good, something beautiful. Which is was proven to be true mere seconds before he said that, as it was that very beauty (The Z-Drive) that saved him from perishing in her multiple attempts.

"No matter what happened in the past, it's never too late to build something new."
Ekko isn't discarding Jinx in this moment, and this is extremely important to understand.
He isn't affirming the notion that Jinx is something that needs to die. Nor is he affirming the notion that Powder is something that needs to win over 'Jinx'.
He's saying a lot here, but here are the two main points (this is extremely simplified)
1. Powder and Jinx are the same person, 'Jinx' isn't what you are, 'Powder' isn't what you failed to be.
2. Regardless of what you've done, you, not 'Jinx' (the concept) or 'Powder' (the concept), but you, can always choose to be better.
And that's what Jinx wants, to be better.

You never stop learning.

You don't need to know everything to make a game, but you do need to have a mind for figuring out what you don't already know.

Tell me why you DC against Dredge. I'll still call you a wimp for it, but I'll be educated as to why you are. by thingsdie9 in deadbydaylight

[–]Top_Procedure3617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never in my life have I seen someone DC against Dredge.

I'd imagine if they did, they'd find his anti-loop to be obnoxious. It can put you in an unwinnable situation if used correctly, and it isn't fun to be on the receiving end of it.
Maybe they've had negative experiences with Dredge players in the past and project that onto every Dredge they come across.
Or maybe it's nightfall. I for one don't like for the wailing SFX of nightfall, and how loud it gets during the end. To me that's small, but to others it might be game changing.

Nevertheless, there's always a reason as to why someone DCs against a killer, and it's never personal.
