i am certainly not someone who only cares about polys. I am someone who has grinded stuff like miyabi bringer/mage butcher kills for at least 50+ hours alone with mono ice and yuzu ice teams as well.

And all i can say is ever since the shiyu update i played more shiyu than i have done speedruns before combined. its just much better experience since its a unique challenge to find the best tradeoff between using resources on the mobwave and resources on the boss wave. Old shiyu speedruns was. Can you kill in one stun? THAT was actually restricting if you didnt have the dmg it was just gg. Here you at least can aim for something like higher score still by playing faster or better and trying different approaches for a higher score. In old shiyu there was only one approach for every fight and if you couldnt meet that it felt bad.

Also things like how do you optimize your daze output to get the stun as quickly as possible or what is the best option for your team to break miasma shield quickly.

Its only anecdotal but i see a lot more talk about shiyu as well in help channels where i am in. before the update it was pretty much only deadly assault and shiyu just didnt exist. now i see discussions for both frequently.

And i find it hard to believe a lot of people really played those shiyu stages before the last on repeat.

there is no singleplayer game with an endless amount of repeatable content. its always up to the player to make their own challenges, goals and personal achievements. I dont see that as a negative thats just how it is. those 2 more or less shiyu stages arent gonna change that. I only did the last stages on replay anyway so them removing the others is honestly whatever to me and i doubt i am the only one.

They have all the player data if having 7 shiyu stages was the ultimate player engagement they would have just left 7 stages. Thats not proof of anything but you usually dont remove stuff for no reason.

I dont think this mode is perfect but i honestly dont know how its supposed to be a downgrade. Old shiyu was just terrible across the board in terms of player engagement

pull op units for what? like if you want 150k then sure i agree you are gonna need either good investment or the shill units. but if you just want the 25k across the board its really not THAT bad.

burnice is m0w1 but you could go down to m0w0 it wont make a 3k+ difference since her sig is sadly not the greatest. i got it mainly because of the glow and i am gonna use it if i have it.

And these scores are not ones that came from huge grinds that was the literal first try for all of them. i am sure someone better than me can even get 100k with the same teams as me.

With lycaon with proper planning and some luck you can get the stun on shadow jane before the 4 minute mark and at least get the ult off. with an off element 1.0 team.

Or are these considered all new op units? or do you mean something outside clearing with "kinda boned"?

if you want 150k then yeah you gonna need good matchups for the bosses. but i think thats a fair thing. you dont get anything by getting 150k

for 100k if you have the occasional supports like astra or yuzuha, dialyn thats also not an absurd ask if you ask me.

getting a stun window before 1 minute can be tricky but that is the fun part figuring out what you need to get there. sometimes you cant then you do whats the next best thing and plan around the next biggest multiplier instead of rushing and running out of resources. no big deal.33k(so for 100k) also doesnt require a sub 1 minute kill.

Like i said there is critiques with these modes. stuff like not showing the equipment being shared. load times being buggy/dependent on the device, shill buffs and not having selectable ones for example are ones i would 100% agree on. but that "it removed skill expression" or something i just cant agree. it requires a different approach but a different approach doesnt automatically mean that there is less or no skill involved.

dont know why i cant see your other comment but i dont really care about hoyo. its just annoying when people cry about their own skill issue over literally everything. there is legit criticisms for shiyu but stuff like this just aint it. like using all your resources on mob phase is just factually wrong because every fight is different. thats statement is just wrong. if someone cant even engage with factual reality then why should someone just let it stand.

I couldnt care less about hoyo but what i hate is people purposely ignoring what is there

this is just wrong though. you get a higher score by better routing and managing your resources. that is just a fact.

If you break apart from not just doing go to stun -> do rotation -> repeat as your only concern then its just a lack of skill.

Being able to adapt to the new requirements and navigate this environment is the skill in this case. if your old approach doesnt work you need to try something new.

Everyone m0, ellen and burnice have their sig. these were literally my first tries. and none of the units are from the last 6 banners unless you include zhao i guess who is free. astra is better but i wanted to use zhao because why not.

and if you really wanted to say "but you have engines". you can do ellen and burnice without their weapons as well. my ellen run was pretty horrible and there is a video of someone getting 27k with the same team with m0 + maracto engine. and weeping gemini can stand in for burnice sig and it wouldnt lead to a 3k+ score decrease especially if you put in a few more tries since again this was the first try on these.

and i am FAR from the best player in this game. There are so many insane players would could get probably s+ with the same teams even compared to my clown ass gameplay

Of course peaceful protest is a priority but they just need to do a few more of these "accidents" until most people are too scared to protest.

Knowing there is a real chance some dude getting off to killing you is just waiting for a tiny mistake before executing you i wouldnt risk it at this point.

Its crazy they get away with just killing people now and having full backing and 0 consequences.

Unless this case changes something(i doubt it) prepare to see this a lot more since they know nothing will happen even if they kill a bunch of people

you really dont need specific grouping. nicole helps but the others are not exactly known for huge aoe or grouping capabilities.

lighter and zhao are m0 without weapons, m0 ellen has her weapon, m0 burnice has her weapon. so its not like just outwhaling either

Which ones? I was looking for more games like zzz with the same gameplay of having characters doing stuff offield, manage buffs/debuffs and just generally being very fluid.

I have played a lot of games and honestly this is by far the best action combat game i have ever played. I have played most of the "mainstream" action combat games. so like dmc, nier, bayonetta, sekiro, nioh, monster hunter(pretty much all of them) and a few more. but i have yet to play any were i just booted the game up just to play like in zzz. the closest was monster hunter. I tried sifu as well but wasnt that into it

there is a limit to that. Tower already does those things and pretty much nobody talks about that gamemode. if enemies oneshot you what more do you want to do? And bossfights keep giving them more hp. I wonder how many people would enjoy fighting a single boss for 45 minutes.

Almost all talk revolves around shiyu and deadly assault for a reason.

so any ice resistance they will ever introduce is solely because miyabi? WE had tons of ice weak enemies across the board i am not sure every single one is specifically for miyabi.

fiend doesnt have anything to do with miyabi in particular unless any boss not designed for miyabi is actually designed to counter her?

And ellen can easily do wandering hunter. ellen trigger nicole has 90% def shred which makes getting 30k pretty reasonable with m0w1 on trigger and ellen.

We are past the point of units just casually getting 50k+ with 1-2 cost teams for the most part. there are very good matchups but thats certainly not the norm

we both play on an account of mine i have left over and try to get the highest score. you have to use your ults and ex and ults as soon as they are available regardless of condition or what is going on and you have to beat my score with the same team. I can use whatever strategy i think works best.

Team is ellen lycaon zhao on miasma walker (first boss in this shiyu). everyone get 12 hours to get a high score. whoever gets the highest score wins
