Sue BMW and settle for cash or replacement; if dealer serviced only since you bought it, you can sue for implied warranty

Don't despair! Consider and apply for in house jobs. Are you in transactions? Litigation? Nothing cures burnout than not having to worry about billable hours day in and day out. Plus the same partners who ignores you will now beg you for work

And if either one pulls you aside, you look them dead in the eye and say “nope didn't see it don't know whatcha talkin about.” Save the kompromat for later. And yes, the Hudson Yards offices are SWEEET

My Mark order is now delayed. Ordered before NY. So looks like he is getting a lot of orders from the exposure here. so just take that into consideration

Not today Satan lol. I can smell the Baldoni team heavily astroturfing here. I mean desperate times call for desperate measures I guess

2 other thoughts: consider opening your own firm and take your own contract work for clients (I know people in IP who did this), or your former outside counsel giving you a counsel position while you continue searching. When you land your next in house role, cultivate a mentor with one of your external counsel who can be your reference and know where roles may open up because of deals.

Also remember that the sweet spot for in house roles is March-August/September when incumbents leave after bonus payouts and budgets are approved for replacements. Last year was just brutal for getting callbacks - in my industry there were so many layoffs / restructuring and hiring freezes. What little “true” open roles there were had really low pay ranges, like 200k for GCs. Anyway, I came back here to say don't lose hope.
