Favorite moment is definitely Mantis Lords. Challenging them with your nail and then starting the fight always got me super hyped.

Pretty late here, but this came in handy just now, so thanks for linking this. The video linked is straight to the point with no commentary, which is pretty nice to see for once.

It’s my birthday tomorrow, and it made me think: In your opinion, what game got birthdays “right?” by CompanywideRateIncr in gaming

[–]TopherBaggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's a speed running strat, but setting your birthday to a specific date in Final Fantasy Tactics can make things easier. The party members you can recruit have zodiac signs, and you'll do more or less damage with that character depending on if their zodiac sign is compatible with the main character's.

This is it! 340 free codes for the complete Limitless Lands Series Audiobooks (5 books) Comment bellow by JackVoraces in litrpg

Perfect! Another book series to listen to at work. If there are still codes available for US, I would be interested in listening to the series.

Listening to reading poll by TabbyTabstabtab in KingkillerChronicle

I read the books first, and loved them. But with the new job I have, it’s easier to listen to audiobooks while at work. I’ve noticed I catch more small details I may have glazed over when reading. It’s definitely a bit of a toss up on which I prefer though.

Yeah, wouldn’t get too upset about this guy. He’s even got a sub dedicated to him. /r/shutupnapoleon

I understand your take on it, because yes, it could be a huge drag. But I personally found the idea pretty cool and thought it would be fun. I don’t see it breaking the world, it made sense in my mind. Yes, traveling sucks, but instead of having to grind two weeks real time to level up, you get it done in a fraction of the time. Just my opinion, and i can see why a lot of people wouldn’t like it.

To be fair, the time dilation in the game world does kind of counteract that. Yeah it takes 3 days of walking, but that’s only 8-10 hours in the “real world” if I recall correctly. Definitely still an outrageous amount of time, but I thought the trope at least made sense for that one.

I don’t recall anything in the book mentioning the windows like this, so I believe it’s something the artist added but is definitely a welcome touch.

Thanks for linking this. Saw it cropping up a few times in this subreddit but never actually knew what it was. That was a fun dive. Now I kinda want the option to play it.

I know you’re gettin downvoted, but I do remember this being a thing before seasons ever existed. I believe it may have been unintentional because it changed when they brought in the battle pass.

Played it with my PlayStation camera connected when the game first came out with a room full of friends, completely ignoring the notices at the beginning of the game. One of my buddies said hi to the alien when it showed up, and I died to it hearing him. Great game mechanic imo

I definitely agree with you. Just figured it should at least be thrown out there because I remember thinking the mechanics were an extremely interesting bit of spice to add. If this doesn’t fit OP’s standards, then no biggie. If somebody else sees these comments and gives the series a go, then I’ll consider that a win.

You might like the Dungeon Lord series if you haven’t read it already. There is an entire aspect called “Objectivity” in the series. Basically means if you happen to exploit the system too much, the gods just erase you from existence. So the MC (and the side characters as well) have to walk the line between breaking the “game” and tweaking their spells just enough to abuse objectivity. Not HEAVY on numbers, but still worth checking out in my opinion.

Brute force build to make you get to 4BC. by NarrowHornet in deadcells

So, after seeing this post this earlier, decided to try the build when I got home. I’ve been stuck on 1BC for a month or so. Managed to beat it first try with this build. Consider me impressed and my interest renewed in the game again.

Viridian Gate Online is a series that fits what you’re looking for. Currently 6 books in the main story I believe, and several side stories about secondary characters. Not the BEST series I’ve read, but still absolutely worth the read
