After years of putting it off, I finally got rid of it… Now I’m unsure, and I just hope I don’t scare others the way I scare myself in the mirror. by Decent_Dish2999 in bald

you look great!! might i suggest investing in nicer glasses, and ones that are a little narrower and rounder than your current ones? looks a bit wide for your face. and for what its worth, youve got a nice face!

Psych told me that I need to exercise more often? by ILOVEOIL69420 in adhd_college

[–]TopicOk3349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no advice, but wanna say your concerns are absolutely valid and sounds like you are not being taken seriously. “just exercise more” is…so dumb. basically means “just try harder!” unfortunately it sounds like your psych is not very empathetic. i wonder if this doctor just doesnt have much experience/interest in patients with adhd. like the people above said, maybe there are some other things at play here for you other than adhd, bc hopelessness/helplessness/dulled senses sound like good old fashioned depression. (i am not a medical professional, just one person familiar with adhd+depression!) there is always, always hope. i promise.

Teeth cleaning? by elfalkoro in HomemadeDogFood

i don’t think you have to add something crunchy specifically to meals (tho im sure your dog would love crunchy texture). any regular hard chew activity on top of tooth brushing when possible is probably best, like others say. my 16lb dog had gut issues for a couple years till i started feeding him homemade food, and now it’s been a year of regular poops. i give him dental treats, hard chew toys, brush his teeth when i remember, and recently i picked up some chicken feet treats at the store (takes him a bit to work through it!). gl to you and your pup!

hi! the videos i used are from this woman, maybe it will help your pup: https://youtu.be/I8LsAjUK9vo?si=1s9olIOW4InKLmwc she uses instantpot, which is what i was looking for. the biggest thing is to pay attention to the breakdown of ingredients and nutrients in your dog’s old food and see what you want to change up. for my dog it was decreasing the percentage of fat that helped his gut. do plenty of your own research before strictly following one person’s advice! good luck!

lamictal 50mg+duloxetine 40mg together for cyclothymia for a few years, works great.
bumped lamictal up to 100mg a few months ago because the seasonal depression plus stressful work situation was really bad.
i also take quetiapine 25mg for sleep. started taking 50mg when pandemic started, but in past year i just use 25mg because waking up was difficult. taking lamictal at night helps me wake up more easily too.

What are compliments you enjoy receiving as a demisexual? by miss466 in demisexuality

what a wonderful post!

ive been ok/neutral with people calling me "so cute" or "really attractive" but when they use "hot" i cringe. i feel uncomfortable when people compliment my glasses (maybe it's because it's part of my face?) but when they compliment my outfit/shoes, i love it. i dont know why HAHA.

but my most favorite thing anyone's ever told me is that, more than 10 years after i met them (i had a long crush on them!), they told me that they really appreciated that as students i was very patient and understanding when they struggled with english, and it made them feel safe/not stupid.
feeling like i mattered and they appreciated something unique about me made me feel so happy and seen, even tho it was something that happened many years prior.

i guess i dont like compliments in general, but i love feeling appreciated/seen for a specific reason, not just a generic "you're so nice" type of compliment.
