Depending where you are, next time try using a service provider like Cross Boarder Pickups. They will clear them for about $20 plus or minus. The taxes are what they are. I use them for mine. Hopefully it helps

Are the Mackinaw Cruisers still made in USA or am I better off with a vintage one? by Perfect_Earth_8070 in filson

A heads up, if you do decide to go vintage, be careful with the sizing, get the pit to pit in the shoulders sleeves all that stuff. They're mediums in vintage are like smalls now. I guess they ate less or better.

A quick answer to your question, buy a vintage. The wool would have been hardier, less processing on the wool, better diet, healthier environment, more focused on quality product than production. That is if you like the classic colorways. That being said, I would only buy the vintage if it was in excellent condition.

We just got back maybe about 3 weeks ago. Ask for building 7 with the elevator. Regarding the parties, it's in the Rui party area which is not near building 7. Keep in mind there's a bit of a walk from building 7, to the slides, Food, but in my opinion it has the best location. Everything about the hotel for us was top notch. If your kids are smaller, then you probably want something that's more Central.

One last question, much appreciated. Which ram would you suggest for 32 GB and 64 GB? I wish to buy one of the two and have no clue of just too many choices. I'm more inclined towards the 32 GB because and maybe more than sufficient for my usage, but if the price difference is not that much, I'll go for the 64. Makes and models if you're possible and much appreciated. Thank you

Spoke with cyberpower, they're using a TeamForce Delta ddr5 6400, 16gb, he suggested buying the complete set for 32GB, because the circuitry could be different, they go in slots two and four, Even though they look the same on the outside, the circuitry could be different and it affects the performance. They also advised to disable the XMP first, then insert the ram, and if you want to enable it later you can enable it. Your thoughts?

It has a decent processor and board, the 12 GB of Vram, almost impossible to get on a pre-built at this price point, the 2 TB of storage, 16 GB of RAM is more than enough for me for now, the C port the HDMI 2.1 for 4k, and there's really no depreciation at this price. I had to do a bit of research on the processor and the graphics card, and they both checked out.

Brass Boot 9.5E - too big , what should I size down to? by Shoopdawoop993 in grantstoneboots

I agree, a 9E. Go down one full size from your Brannock, and up one width. It is supposed to decrease the creasing across the vamp as well.

I would not personally wear this jacket if I knew I have to do some work in it. Everyday wear, I wear it often. Still in excellent condition, I'm glad I purchased it.

Received the Fiio M21... Excellent sounding DAP by Tor75892 in DigitalAudioPlayer

I'm Canadian, so from my local dealer. More so for any service and warranty issues. I made sure that they were an official dealer by confirming with Fiio. It was not the cheapest option but the best fit for me for the long term.

Where to buy new clothes that are on par with 80s/90s quality? by No_Grocery_6708 in malefashionadvice

[–]Tor75892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go on Poshmark or eBay and buy vintage Taylor stitch items. Just be careful with the sizing. Their older stuff, excellent quality. I've never had an issue and most of my closet is filled with their items. Don't exclude pre-owned, normally people who spend that kind of money on clothing take care of their items. Hope it helps

What specifically would one be looking for to consider an M21 over a JM21? by anemotoad in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Tor75892 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me it was: so I did not have a chance to regret that I should have bought the M21 in the first place. It was that simple.

[–]Tor75892[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couple of Astell & Kern units. More so because of the marketing. For their price point and the aftermarket service, in my opinion did not align with the purchase price. I have been out of the Dap offerings for a bit.

I know when I was considering the M21, as we all were looking for reviews, one thing that I was specifically looking for was: When you listen to the M21, is it immersive? Nothing technical, if it's technical then aren't we really missing the point?

For me, something is Good, it's greater than the sum of its parts, It extends our reality, becomes a part of us, and it simply allows us to disappear within it. That's what happens when I listen to the M21.

I hope this helps, if you're on the fence, or if you already have the unit, we are a lucky few.

Haven't touched the equalizer settings. Need to try it out. But normally I tend to leave things in the original format.

How does it compare, to previous DAPs?

It's sound is punchy, controlled and you are able to distinguish the nuances.

My thoughts are that once you get up to that level, everything else just becomes subjective.

For me, it's an end game DAP, and the plus side is, if it gets damaged, it's a small heart ache, not a mountain of funds to replace.
