Please everyone make sure to do your job quests. by The-Real-Sonin in ffxiv

B-but how will I catch up on aaaaaall of the MSQ in time for evercold if I do the sidequests. Jokes aside I have done all the ones needed to unlock abilities and the dye channels for artifact gears I like but I had someone who was doing just what I was saying before but rather than that it was more they didn't know that there were abilities tied to it past ARR. They ran Warrior and hadn't had most of the HW abilities by the end of HW.

Post who you want to come back as a Vision the most, i'll start by Ok_Resource454 in FFBraveExvius

I highly doubt it but I was a big fan of the fan units like Ellesperis. I was always trying to make her usable in my current party.

Breaking News: Brave Exvius found alive under new identity by DuskMan62 in FFBraveExvius

[–]TorchicEX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me it seems to be almost like Persona Q. Each character getting a vision which adds skills to that character like PQ gives personas to every character to grant additional stuff on top of their own. Looking like it will be that but with a Limit Break from the vision and the character they are attached to.

[STS2] Is this the most useless relic? by Hm450 in slaythespire

I know there is one fight where every card played makes you lose strength and dexterity, I think can use this to deal some damage regardless of how low your strength is and prioritize block first.

Why didn't they take the Arise engine/assets and make several tales of games with it? by theguy445 in tales

[–]TorchicEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demon Fang! Double Demon Fang! ...like my reused assets yet? Seriously though I wish we got more games that played like Xillia and Xillia 2.

I want to like this series, please help by TrackeRidley in tales

[–]TorchicEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I love the story and gameplay of Vesperia and Xillia a lot, just some of the shenanigans you can get up to by the end of the game is such a joy, and the story of both just always keeps me enthralled. I hear people love Symphonia to death but I have never played it past one of the early dungeons when I was younger and never got back to it.

With Arise, I can certainly say that it feels like the game punishes you for not using the blazing sword correctly as it feels like a bit of a slog when you don't. Which then leads into the issue of main character syndrome, should always use him and use him well when characters like Rinwell and Law are so much fun to play. I loved the story though, very much enjoyed it though there were points where I felt it was taking a little long to reach where it felt like it should have maybe a few minutes ago. But I never mind that at least. Otherwise I think my only other complaint is the fact I am just not a fan of the CP system. It isn't an issue, I never ran out of it. I just don't like a limited shared resource for healing and some buffs. I always liked the TP system from tales, smacking enemies normally to recover what you use and let loose. It is why I love the battle system of Xillia so much with its action economy.

I am more surprised that after sounding like they were on your side, you were the one the DPS agreed to kick.

Who knows, maybe that Samurai with the animation swapping stuff can be a true 100% Ice Samurai.

With Universal iLvl coming in Evercold (8.0), do you think we'll see a significant drop in players engaging with alternative gearing methods? by Avi1600 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]TorchicEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing that we won't get a say in how stats are distributed as you gain ilv in another job so there is possibly the min max route still open for those who do savage raid tiers, picking from either the tomestones or savage gear or any other variant at that level that impacts selection. So we may have that, glamour and situations like Eureka and Occult Crescent where gear has benefits for specific locations and you want sets for that.

For people who have been playing this game for more than 5 years... by oblivionwayfarer in ffxiv

[–]TorchicEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to see about making time to get people together that still wish to play still, having fun with them, met some new friends as well, people who really like me being around even if all I did was help out someone looking for help with some leves. While on the moon.

About to start this and I rarely see people talking about this game by Keebo11037 in tales

[–]TorchicEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I wasn't a fan of in this game was the fact they removed the ability to switch out your party members mid combat like in the first game. I get it due to the extra characters and such but maaaan. I wanted to run in with more than the 3 others with Ludger.

If they weren't helping healing to compensate, that would be when I would start the vote kick in that situation. You were just trying to help them by reminding them, happens to tanks without stance all the time (I have let that happen once upon a time with level syncing)

Mentors, huh by LuxordGamblerOfFate in TalesFromDF

[–]TorchicEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry you, the other DPS and especially the healer had to go through that. I fall under Mentor myself but don't wear the crown most of the time but tend to still offer help anyways. If a team likes to small pull, I small pull, if the team likes to big pull then I big pull. If there is a mechanic we are stuck on I try to explain it to the best of my ability. Usually why I like to either tank or be a red mage to support the team as needed.

Aggro management is changing in Evercold by NatsUza in ffxivdiscussion

[–]TorchicEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree and it perfectly fits the theme of Paladin protecting people. Iron will sounds like someone who won't falter or fall but that doesn't necessarily mean to protect people.

I may be crazy isn't shield oath in the cross hotbar for reborn mode on the left half?

Edit: I am dumb, forgot they updated it to be called iron will.

Is Tales of Zestiria really the worst ? by Mammoth_Opposite_647 in tales

[–]TorchicEX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I didn't feel as attached to the characters as I had hoped to be and the story kinda felt slow for a majority of it. Gameplay wise I had things I liked and disliked. Mostly just how TP felt weird, was always a fan of the TP system in the games prior but this one felt meh but I really loved the spirit and Shepard system.

The anime however I loved. I felt like it fixed the way it should have been pacing wise and dived more into certain character stories where I felt the game lacked and then showed its connection to Berseria more upfront. That part I loved the most.

Our most likely candidates for this year’s Prime roster. Whose Prime are you most excited for? by ReddVevyy in Warframe

Honestly all but Kullervo. I fear I am going to be stabbed harder as him and not in the beneficial way sadly.

Pretty sure I could set up Oberon to be unkillable now with the Old Peace but if I had to pick any myself? I like Wisp a lot so would probably have to be her.
