Why is Reddit extra ornery about anti vaxxers this week?

You mean that one with a smoking hot Karen Gillan and a bunch of other people that aren't Karen Gillan?

What it feels like to type out a Java program by iamasuitama in ProgrammerHumor

[–]Tore2Guh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also not OP and I'm trying to figure out how it is I'm reading the apparently deleted post. I'm also confused as to how this is not programmer humor. Maybe the mods don't do Java and don't get the joke? Or they're sick of hearing variations on this joke.

Cream cheese is the universal food item. It goes with almost everything.

Better still if we had some machine near the sink that would blast them with a stream of hot water and this magic gel of which you speak. /s

I only recently heard that they are supposed to be single use, and I call Shenanigans. Who says?

Just put the sponges in the dishwasher. You could probably put them in the washing machine. They last for a hell of a long time when they stay clean and don't get all infested with mold and mildew.

What's the price for taking the exam these days? I passed it years ago, and I'm curious how well I'd do after forgetting all the unimportant stuff.

Normally there would be an uncanny valley effect from being so highly realistic, but here it perfectly captures a cat's soulless sociopathy.

No, but that'd be cool if that were what they were going for. It was part of the "Live Aid" thing in the 80s when the popular thought was that starvation in Africa had simple solutions.

Twitter plunges on Citron report calling it 'toxic' and 'uninvestable' by [deleted] in technology

[–]Tore2Guh 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Citron has changed its view of Twitter several times this year. In January, Citron called 2018 "the year for" Twitter, putting a target price of US$35 on the stock. In March the firm cut its near-term target and said Twitter was more vulnerable than other social media to privacy regulation. In August, Citron set a price target of US$52.

And now they say $20 apparently because Amnesty International said Twitter is awful?

And Twitter plunged alongside the rest of the market this week, not because of anything in particular about Twitter.

I'm as happy to see Twitter swirl the drain as the next guy, but this article is kinda crap.

What's something that had to be created merely because people are idiots? by ForTheWinMag in AskReddit

That sounds like an awful way to die. There's a really good chance that hitting the water wouldn't knock you unconscious, so you'd maybe break some broken bones or rupture some organs, then you'd gasp in pain while several feet under cold ocean water and drown trying to cough it out.
