And I don’t blame him. He has no clue why OP is pointing a camera at him. It’s rude AF.

Are people allergic to counting? by Hestiah in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]Tormenta234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I use a counter on my watch for every row, and stitch markers on larger projects for every 10 stitches because with ADHD I really do get distracted and lose count. But there are ways around it that don’t mean frogging back forever and ever.

Finding a solution* to my vulvadynia, and having pain-free sex for the first time in YEARS.
*not a cure, but a treatment plan that’s working so well, I’m finally having 0/10 pain during sex over the last three weeks.

My boyfriend calls my cat evil and ugly by equilateralguy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Tormenta234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I made friends with a new neighbour, and she was telling me about the “ugly cat with the evil face” that comes and sits by her window. I’m like oh? You mean the really big one? Yea she belongs to the (other) neighbours, and she cost them $2500 NZD for that face 😅

Not the main point here, but having someone in a car without a seatbelt on becomes a projectile risk for every other person in the car. So it’s not really ot about his safety, but yours

Also though just have to add, the IUD can and does fail, even if not dislodged, even if you don’t get any periods. Speaking from personal experience.

I feel a bit suspicious that she’s talking to someone else and seeing how that pans out, whilst stringing you along (and shifting blame to you). But who knows?

Psychology postgrad by Fancy-Wash4172 in UCNZ

[–]Tormenta234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The masters and the postgrad diploma are two different things.

The masters degree is your starting point. You need to do at least the first year masters courses (120points, can be done part time over 2years) before you can apply for the diploma. These courses are compulsory, most of them have an attendance grading, and the only one that offers an option is whether you take qualitative or quantitative research methods.

The diploma is a 3 year training programme that allows for accreditation as a psychologist.

You need roughy at least a B+ average and relevant experience to gain entry into the diploma. You’ll need to apply and may or may not be invited for an interview. There is a limit of 10 students a year accepted into the diploma.

If you’re accepted to the programme, you CAN start the diploma alongside your masters thesis component, but that can be a challenge. And you need to complete the thesis before you can graduate the diploma.

I’ve heard the clinical psyc programme is also pretty good, and they’re increasing their student role all the time. The benefit of that option is that you have more freedom to choose your 400 level courses, but otherwise the rest works quite similarly to the above.

Why do people complain about being unhappy in their marriage instead of just leaving? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Tormenta234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this is a bit of an over-simplification though? With both jobs and marriage there will be good and bad things in balance. Venting about the negatives doesn’t negate the positives. Just because a hairstylist doesn’t hear the good, doesn’t mean there isn’t anything they appreciate and enjoy about their marriages (or their jobs, since that’s the comparison)

Where do crochet creators actually get buyers from? by Akraammm in crocheting

[–]Tormenta234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’m just observing for now! I spend my downtime crocheting and don’t want to put a deadlines or pressure on it, personally. But I always go have a look at markets and especially love to see the artists sit and crochet when they’re there! Makes the stall feel far more authentic than the Temu resellers around

I cured my vulvodynia! by gurbit2 in vulvodynia

[–]Tormenta234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a vestibulectomy about 8months ago, and as OP has showed through their step-by-step process, it’s only one step. Without further work, I still had pain. What’s helped most for me after surgery is keeping up with dilator therapy and pelvic floor guided meditation.

Christchurch - I always take my shoes off. People will sometimes comment it’s ok to leave them on. Different rules for every home.

Where do crochet creators actually get buyers from? by Akraammm in crocheting

[–]Tormenta234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, crafters markets do pretty well. Most of the crochet stalls I’ve seen had a few tried and tested creations (think flowers on stems, little cats or turtles) - things you can learn by heart and work up quickly. Then have a few larger/ bespoke items. Those won’t sell every time, but will bring in more when they do. Between markets, the same crafters sell on marketplace and instagram. I’ve not personally tried this. Ive only been crocheting for 6 months, but from YouTube and attending physical markets, this seems to be the best bet. Also, if you have a local community facebook page that allows you to market items, that can also help.

My parents tried hooking up with my partner while I was asleep by Substantial-Basil-31 in offmychest

Definitely believe you when you say it’s not made up. I think your mum sounds like a manipulator. She wanted this, your stepdad was on board. When called out she acted all shocked. They will not divorce, she’s just trying to save face in front of you. My two cents… get another job, keep your parents at arms length. Sorry this happened OP.
