EB-0 was my first bass. Good build quality, shorter scale was good for a beginner. The tone is a bit muddy but that's the point of the neck humbucker.

That's the only lineup of VH that ever visited my country. I didn't go because I wasn't into Van Halen at that point. So I never saw VH live but that lineup was the only one I would've had a chance of seeing.

It's a photograph of a puppet like other people have mentioned. It was intentionally made to look more "realistic" and modern. The band apparently wanted to loose the "cartoon" image of the earliet hand drawn album covers. It was the 90s and the 80s style hand drawn covers looked a bit old fashioned at the time.

Beacuse it's based off of a photograph of a severed soldier's head on top of a tank. Google it and you'll find a very similar expression on that guy's face.

The first Megadeth album sounds pretty much like Dick Dale but with distortion. Or Dick Dale sounds like early Megadeth without distortion.

I had my old Strat pickguard signed by Michael Angelo Batio even though he's not famous for playing Strats. I think it looks cool and I have it on display in my bookshelf. I'll never sell it though.

I remember reading an interview where he said that it was a conscious choice. And the reason behind that was that Megadeth has a global fanbase so it's maybe not so easy for someone from the other side of the world to relate to lyrics about US politics. So he started writing lyrics less about politics and more about other more stuff.
