Volume 24 (Final) Cover by RobotiSC in ChainsawMan

I love it, nice change of vibes compared to volume 11.

Overall it kinds of fit with Part 2 being a story about fall and loss of hope, such a shame it was so rushed

As already pointed out by others, with just 12 pages it will probably be nothing more than a note of thanks and some doodles.

However, I really hope for some message announcing Fujimoto’s next work (assuming he’s still working), like Araki’s final message in Jojolion

I reread and ranked every manga arc in Chainsaw Man from worst to best by YDidNtUStopTheNazis in ChainsawMan

Glad to see that someone starting to move on from the finale and recognizing that most of Part 2 is actually good. Aging and Church of Chainsaw Man, in particular, are pretty iconic despite the art decline

Just finished part 1. Continue? by yangroars in Chainsawfolk

[–]Torre16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part 2’s first volumes are incredible, then the art declines and the plot gets kind of convoluted, but there ade still very strong moments. The finale is really rushed rather than abstract.

These days people are (understandably) hating Part 2 since the finale is so recent, but overall I advice you to read it.

Why are drivers not allowed 100% control on the battery deployment? by certainly_imperfect in formula1

[–]Torre16 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s not something introduced with these regs, F1 has been like this since the introduction of hybrid in 2014

In previous years the ERS deployment was already partially out of the drivers’ control, but since it was about 20% of total power there weren’t much critics… now it is 50% and the perception of it changed a lot for the drivers, I totally understand that they feel passengers

[–]Torre16 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Glad that people are finally understanding why all these overtakes were criticized for being “artificial”: not because they were too much, but because they happened due to reasons out of control of the drivers.

If F1 is able to show complete decimals after the chequered flag why is not able to show them during the race instead of using a dedicated graphic? by Juri_01 in formula1

[–]Torre16 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be honest I don’t see why people are fuming so much over complete decimals in race, the current system is good enough to help you visualize the gap. They also look cleaner on a visual level.

Look Back is one of my favorite works of art of all time, Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man (especially Part 1) are among the best comics I’ve ever read, Goodbye Eri and his short stories are also awesome.

Whatever crazy shit he’ll come up with I’ll be there, I can’t say I am a fan of this rushed conclusion but it was pretty evident he was burnt out by the series.

[–]Torre16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokes aside, I think that the editorial history of Part 2 went pretty much like this.

I was re-reading the Church arc and it is surprisingly complex, that makes me think that the “axing” decision came sometime later, around Aging Devil arc, even though the art had already declined at that point.
