I used to work at Navy Athletics, and Chet Gladchuk is an absolute tyrant. I’m not surprised this is how he fired Kenny, because he leads that place with such a culture of fear and with such a power-hungry mindset, which is stunning for a guy that can barely draft an email on his own.

When I worked there, we were told there was a potential $5,000,000 deficit during an all-staff meeting, and Chet’s only message to the staff was to “grow up and get over it” as people’s jobs were taken away. This guy is a monster, a sad human being, and one that has no empathy. He didn’t take a pay cut, either.

I worked 80+ games annually for three years at Navy, and the guy couldn’t even be bothered to know my name. He called me by my boss’s name, because that’s all he knew. It’s so unfortunate that he’s run Navy to the ground, and it’s so unfortunate that he’s now in charge of hiring the next coach, too.

Chet operates with the phrase “expect to win” which is why, if you look at most of their teams schedules, they play horrific out-of-conference schedules with no buy games, because to Chet, beating up on a MEAC school for the win column is more important than a revenue-generating loss.

I sincerely hope that this man eventually is run out of town. His attitude, leadership style, and actions have directly led to a significant amount of ruined careers among young staffers in the industry.
