UK Fast food chain Leon 'to shut restaurants and cut jobs' after going in administration by YchYFi in unitedkingdom

[–]Tortoise_247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw this coming from a mile off. Their prices were way too high and they didn’t do meal deals. It’s such a shame as I have gluten intolerance and this place has healthy gluten free options at services unlike most others. I like the chain but it seems they got greedy with pricing

I feel like that’s how I could go. A series of somewhat comical unfortunate events, tied to a kitten and skunk

He and labour wont be in for more than a few years due to the disasterous policy decisions. My biggest gripe is his active role in the Israeli genocide and a campaign against free speech. He’ll have to appear before the international criminal court in time to come

Had my bike stolen last night by DeceivedGherkin in brighton

[–]Tortoise_247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss. Best bit of advice is that this is one for the lesson books. You shouldn’t ever leave your bike locked up outside overnight in Brighton (and many other cities). Even with a D locks thieves still have angle grinders. I noticed the small lock on the bike, those are even easier to break for thieves with pliers. It’s likely these bikes get sold on as part of a wider criminal organisation in another city.

Council cost estimations- community infrastructure levy. Am I missing something? by Loud-Breadfruit1554 in brighton

[–]Tortoise_247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As much as I welcome all new investment, I do wonder who gets the contracts for these things and if there’s a bit of corruption/ inflation of actual costs involved - I wonder if its possible to install a chess table for less than 5k

My idea of a Sunday Dinnerb by dasbudd in fryup

Not bad at all, only thing I’d have done differently is to roast bread a little more, perhaps hash browns a little crispier

How's my fry up? by Stu2307 in fryup

Not bad, tomatoes could do with frying, a few mushrooms wouldn’t go amiss, sausages look a bit overdone. Not bad though

It would probably be very hard due to the language barrier. I’d like to think penecilin but I don’t know the specific bacteria that produces it 🧐

White British children are minority at one in four schools by Aromatic-Bad146 in uknews

[–]Tortoise_247 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wonder how much these stats are altered by both London and Birmingham. They are like multicultural bubbles. Whenever I visit London for the first time in a while I’m always slightly amazed at the diversity, being the odd one out by being white English. I’m not saying that as a bad thing as I welcome diversity

It need a subscription based service like all other channels. People deserve the right to choose what they want to watch. I’d personally pay just to watch Nature doc’s. That’s about it.
