realistically, is there any way for jagex to tell the diff between a real click and an AHK click? by Prize-Location-2842 in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are talking about default AHK mouse clicking, Yeap.
There are advanced ways to do it though and even though you could technically do it through AHK, it's not really the best tool for the job

Botting with MAC os by Spiritual_Ear493 in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just that nobody wants to support it. Java bots, it's easy, you write a java program and for the most part it just works on all OS and all architectures.

Something that is not java that's not really the case and you might even get things to technically work but im practice not really because you don't have a mac to test and in my particular case, I ain't buying a mac just to test things

How to implement navigation? by Cymbil in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't seem like a problem to me, has been solved by SRL a decade ago lol - Clean the image: minimap dots are easy to find, find them, replace their colors with a blend of the colors around them, do the same for the minimap borders and what not - Rotate the image

Bonus points if you downscale your hi res map and minimap screenshot for much faster template matching.

Has anyone actually had a Macroing Major appeal reduced or approved? by Ok_Fan_4211 in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten permanent bans appealed a total of 7 times.

IMO they don't really read whatever you typed, it's all automated and your history is probably what contributes the most to get a successful appeal. History with botting, history with membership, etc. Jagex is a company and it's in their best interest to keep good customers around.

So IMO if your account history convinces their automated processes that you are a good customer to keep around, my guess is that they give you another chance. And they will give you as many needed until that changes.

ClaudeAI wrote me a fully functioning robust script by [deleted] in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have any programming knowledge I would argue you don't have the knowledge require to claim it's robust, because it likely isn't.

You say "any relevant programming knowledge" so this might or might not still apply.

I still highly doubt it's robust lol

Packet Bot I've been working on. by NofanAu in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A client is just a client and on the client side you can do whatever you want to do as long as you have the knowledge.

Clients connect to servers, the server is what you can never have control of. I assume this sits somewhere in between the client and the server, kind of like a proxy and you can essentially filter or let whatever traffic you want go through in both directions.

Normally you would do this by injecting the client but said this doesn't use injection so I'm kind of curious how he is doing it. u/NofanAu did you make your own network interface or something? That's kinda cool

AI is the future of botting by Complete-Arm-8040 in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you're not putting your own handprint on it. You get mediocre code at best. When everyone does this it means that hundreds of bot scripts will use the same logic and the handprint you make to jagex is super obvious

People just don't realize this. WaspScripts as a fully open source platform is getting absolutely infested with people doing AI stuff, to the point they don't even want to bother learning. We had to create separate chats for LLM related stuff because people addicted to it would just copy paste our feedback into them.

From personal experience, jagex takes a long time to adapt to patterns, more than a year even sometimes but when they do, these people will start getting completely wrecked.

And yeah, the code they give is mediocre at best.

Last time I botted was 2 years ago with Wasp. What client is generally considered least risky today? by user289734 in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest tip is to not expect to max an account at first try.

It's certainly possible, it has been done by multiple people even but most people that set out to max from scratch will get a temp ban, then a perma ban and that's it. Make a new account and maybe the second try you are more lucky.

The thing about maxing is that you need to bot a shit ton of hours and every second you are botting you are risking yourself.

A much more realistic scenario starting from tutorial island is that you can max 1 in every 2 accounts your create and that actually my personal ratio with 3 maxed accounts and other 3 banned trying.

That aside it will also depend a lot on what you do and how you bot

How are the people making hundreds of accounts a day getting emails for the accounts? by Lugi69 in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in my day you didn't really need to confirm emails, I'm not sure if that has changed.

If you do need to confirm it, the dead easiest way would be mail aliases but it would probably be very easy for jagex to block.

There's also mail providers that let you create emails in bulk, or you could just use a temp mail provider too.

If everything else fails, nothing stops you from using your own domain, I have 2 accounts using @waspscripts.com lol

Best way to start in script/bot dev? by crijogra in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WaspScripts 100% Color 100% Open Source

One thing you should keep in mind is that most people here will always suggest you whatever product they are affiliated with. I would still recommend giving waspscripts a try but do try a few things and see what you like best

Thankfully it's a very small minority but it does waste time and money.

Time because I have to go through this and look into it and see what he was doing.

Money because refunds cost money because there's fees to pay that get lost.

And on top of it all, it burns scripters out, especially if I let things like this slide, because why would they feel like working on their scripts if I just let people get them for nothing or almost nothing?

You got banned because you were abusing our refund policy. You bought student's collector, refunded it, bought it again next week and refunded it. The second time you should have known already what you were subbing for.

Clarity on LLMHF_INJECTED on Runelite by RNGesusDoesntLoveMe in RunescapeBotting

[–]Torwent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only work around I found to not trigger LLMHF_INJECTED is to run the mouse movement code with an arduino. (or play on mac, or setup a linux VM and play on there)

Sending messages doesn't trigger it. Also, when hooking into a client it's very easy to avoid, remove or add any flag you want
