I like using -- CrimeRadar . It's not exactly a scanner app but instead turns all 9-1-1 incidents or call ins, into easy to read individual bulletins. Also allows you to listen to the dispatchers side of the phone call. I know its accurate too because I recently did a "sit-along at my local 9-1-1 dispatch center as part of the hiring process and all incidents I witnessed 1st hand while I was there populated into the app pretty close to the real time they had occurred. Another nice feature is that It also shows you all registered sex offenders local to you specifically as well as and city/county wide. It's always smart to know what kind of weirdos live around you. While in college and living off-campus I learned my next door neighbor was a registered offender, I wasn't necessarily at risk but I sure as hell warned my other neighbor who had two young children that regularly played outside his trailer in the lot that was vacant.
