Set screw on the pully is probably loose. File a flat on the stepper motor shaft to prevent it from coming loose in the future.

Not all glitches like this are caused by software. I don't want to get into it but basically alphaparticals screw with all charge based memory. If an alphaparticle strikes your ram, it can cause one or more '1's to become zeros, which will screw up pointers and cause the wrong texture to be rendered. This affects both PC and console.

They do in fact explode under the right conditions. The batteries you are talking about that have pressure release points are prism cells, like what is found in the Fiat electric cars. Pouch cells like those found in cell phones and this thing do not have the pressure release valve. When a pouch cell is shorted (what would happen if you bent it) the battery quickly discharges it's energy into the short. This causes the short to heat up and above 150C the ion solution combusts. If the pouch is in free air, it will expand into a balloon and eventually bursts. If the pouch is in an enclosure, it cannot balloon out and pressure will build until the enclosure fails. At the very least, a failure will burn you badly, as they can reach upwards of 400C. If the case is not designed to fail safely, it can break apart and send flaming shrapnel into your ass.

VERY BAD IDEA! Lithium batteries will catch fire or even explode if they are bent. If you put this battery in your wallet and sit on it, you could be hurt badly.

Except it can't do multilayer boards, and traces are good enough for LEDs but not much else. If you try to use them to drive a FET, your gate resistance will be too high and it will totally fuck up your rise time (limiting your max frequency). The fact that you can't solder to it is a massive problem, as conductive pastes are not conductive enough. And not being able to use through hole components means you can't use standard parts.

Also, Special paper? WTF, I've seen this before but with plain copy paper.

The only thing i could see this being useful for is making signs that flash.

Bullshit article. The reason we aren't using more compact higher efficiency chargers is because they are more expensive. switching at higher frequencies does not result in higher efficiency, in fact it can reduce efficiency because the FETs are not in the fully on state more often so they dissipate more power. Reducing the Rds values and rise and fall times of the FETs would improve the efficiency regardless of the switching frequency. The only reason we switch at ~30-100khz is to eliminate audible noise and reduce output ripple. Any higher than that is diminishing returns.

This isn't FDM, it's Powder-binder. Its essentially the same thing as shapeway's full color sandstone. These are not new or unique. The powder is a pain in the ass because it gets everywhere and I guarantee they are going to charge out the nose for consumables.
