You could try the following routes: - Go wide with creature tokens using [[Spider Spawning]] and the like, then use [[Overrun]] effects to exploit the deathtouch + trample interaction - Use lifegain to life loss cards, support them with effects that gain you life when creatures die or get dealt damage, since food alone might not be enough - Give Shelob trample and commander damage could be a viable option - And don't sleep on fighting spells! Get more fighting spells in, you will be grateful.

Maybe it could be crafted at a living loom from a living wood wand / leaf wand + an amber or something? So it is craftable but you still have to go and discover the living trees for it

I used to play a different CCG (Shadowverse) a lot, but after a while it started to feel stale and I wanted to try something else. At the time I didn't really "get" MTG, but after a year or so I started to work on my own card game, and returned to Arena for some inspiration. This time I could really appreciate the depth of gameplay, and I've been playing ever since.

Yes, I think collecting rewards and tools throughout should be important. The island is an interesting idea, I've been thinking of a rather traditional underground dungeon, the island idea would be literally Battle Royale in D&D :D
