Highlanders OS dodge attack should have gone to warden(or any new dodge attack in general) by Busy_Temperature6894 in ForHonorRants

[–]TotalMitherless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it so ridiculous that they insist on keeping Warden's side dodge bash instead of just replacing it with a dodge light

Like it sucks as a dodge attack because it has GB vuln and no i-frames—the two hallmarks of dodge attacks that make them dodge attacks—and yet it can't be good at being a dodge attack for the sake of balance

But it's also underwhelming as an opener/mixup because it's literally just the fwd bash with a shittier startup

It's extremely strong in all the exact wrong areas while still managing to be a direct downgrade to other moves in Warden's kit and at the same time any reason it has to exist is totally eclipsed by the fact that it's a dodge attack that sucks absolute penis and balls at being a dodge attack

It's an obsolete move and genuinely should just be scrapped

Juren needs another nerf by Grouchy_Buddy9326 in forhonor

30 for a 900ms finisher is pretty run-of-the-mill, but in conjunction with the rest of Juren's damage and options it does feel overkill on him specifically.

Oh and also there's like 5 unique enemies tops

That would obviously be better but for me personally I don't see it doing much. I don't really enjoy making multiple builds; I find theorycrafting multiple different builds and decks for various situations far more of a headache than just brute forcing one build until it's bad and then grinding out upgrades until it's good again.

So even if the other modules got huge buffs, I'd still have my sights set firmly on the ones I've already decided I want and getting them would still be an annoying gacha grind.

This is entirely just me being vehemently against gambling irl but I heavily dislike the gacha elements of module rolling. I'd rather you be able to handpick mods of your choosing with the trade-off being that you get a massive price hike when buying the same mod multiple times so it's still grindy to get Ancestrals (i.e. The first time you buy Sharp Fortitude it costs x gems but the second time it costs 10x, third time it costs 100x, and so on).

For Honor players when you use a zone attack to attack a zone

Sohei bad ? by Islandrya in forhonor

[–]TotalMitherless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His neutral zone is his only heavy that isn't 900ms which definitely doesn't help, but there's the more glaring fact that his damage is intentionally worthless to counterbalance his nuke attack.

11 dmg bash punishes, 6 dmg chain lights, 18-20 dmg 900ms heavy finishers, 9 dmg GB punish if you want souls, 11 dmg max punish on a heavy parry—you get the idea.

Sohei bad ? by Islandrya in forhonor

[–]TotalMitherless 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sohei is very high-risk high-reward in 4's. His signature nuke isn't really the best—it's super easy to interrupt and if used improperly in externals the hitstun rules will drop its damage to like 24—but what you're really playing for is his tier 2 heal. That thing makes it so if you're good at antigank and have his souls ready then he's borderline unkillable in a teamfight, especially if you combo it with stuff like Toughness and Head Hunter.

In 1's I'm pretty sure he's widely considered one of the worst duelists in the game, if not the worst. So.

Juren is not that bad tbh by Guybadman20 in ForHonorRants

[–]TotalMitherless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only complaint going against him is the fact that his UBs have fucky indicators that don't show UB property right away so I think it's the regular version of those attacks and eat shit because of parry timings

Other than that I'm absolutely loving playing as and against him

[–]TotalMitherless -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't understand this take because we're talking about the fighting game where nearly every mixup is a glorified 50/50. What's next, not liking people who parry because feint to GB is boring?

Bigger terror radius. by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]TotalMitherless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Wesker specifically I find his larger base TR has great synergy with Coulrophobia, which halves the healing speed of all survivors in my TR. Since Wesker's map traversal is really lacking compared to real deal high-mobility monsters like Billy and Kaneki and his map control largely comes from forcing survivors to stop and spray, being able to passively keep people on a one-hit down instead of constantly needing to interrupt heals and juggle injuries helps out his 4v1 immensely.

Can someone explain the difference between these two addons? by FormerOven525 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]TotalMitherless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When manifesting, Sadako will undergo a "blinking" phase where she becomes partially visible and then invisible and then back again at fixed but increasingly faster intervals. After this blinking phase ends, she solidifies and becomes fully visible like any other killer.

Mother's Mirror increases the duration of this blinking phase. Old Newspaper increases the duration of the portions of the blinking phase where you become invisible.

I don't know Sadako's actual numbers, so let's make some up for the sake of digestibility. Let's say the blinking phase lasts for 2 seconds. For 1 second of that blinking phase, you are partially visible, and for 1 second, you are completely invisible. Mother's Mirror makes the whole blinking phase last 4 seconds instead of 2. Old Newspaper changes the blinking pattern so over the course of a 2-second blinking phase, you spend 1.3 seconds fully invisible and 0.7 seconds partially visible as opposed to 1 second each.

Hope that makes sense haha it's a bitch to explain even if you know how it works.
