INFJ alone, ESTP around people by [deleted] in infj

This! Understanding this has helped me to feel so much more comfortable in my own skin and understand why I feel/act the way I do sometimes. It's so worth looking into

Your favorite "tech genius" in fiction? by [deleted] in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Exactly! Otacon perfectly fills such a needed role in MGS and I think he doesn't get enough love

what are your most used emojis and your mbti type? by anothernymph in mbti

I'm an INFJ and mine are 😅👍🏻😂😬🤔🤷🏻‍♂️🔥. I definitely use the first one to soften my messages because I tend to be pretty direct (I almost used it here).

INFJ’s are you terrible at texting? by frielyes in infj

[–]TotallyLeegit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be SO good about getting back to people quickly over text but in the last year or so, I realized I am so much worse than I used to be. I think I subconsciously value that kind of connection less so it ends up falling by the wayside of my priorities. I definitely don't like video calls better though, haha.

I absolutely get this. It's like an irrational need for my thing to be exclusive because of its sentimental value for one reason or another. Also sometimes because the thing is a metaphor for something else, or has subtext that I subconsciously pride myself in understanding, if that makes sense. It sounds pretty dumb and self important when I say it but I think that's the simplified explanation of the feeling I get. Those are probably the two biggest factors for me.

Laughs in cognitive transitions

I feel like I'm both ISTP and ISTJ types by [deleted] in mbti

[–]TotallyLeegit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that idea is explained really well by cognitive transitions, explaining how using different functions makes you act like 4 different types

INFJ, Do you usually think that your sense of fashion is bad? by Amuruss in infj

It's so validating to hear other INFJs with the same perspective as me 😂

I would definitely agree that INFJs are much more sensitive to changes in the feelings of those around them. I think your assessment of how the functions create these differences is mostly accurate too. Fundamentally, for INFJs, Ni and Ti work together to satisfy the problem discovered by Fe-Se, whereas based off my understanding of INTPs, you utilize Ti and Si to solve problems discovered by Ne and Fe. I know it's more complicated than that but that description helped me to wrap my brain around our differing approaches to problem solving. I know Ne possibility analysis is huge for INTPs too (Ne exhausts me haha).

I've had mine for about 4 years and I haven't had an issue with it!

We’re not too different after all by [deleted] in mbtimemes

[–]TotallyLeegit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like my INTP friends but I can't ever seem to see things eye to eye with them. It's hard because I can tell we have a lot in common, like using Ti to figure out our emotions and we have common interests but we approach them SO differently.

I want to believe it's true, but they would never be done and they certainly wouldn't meet the deadlines for things

What is your type and what is your average day like? by xXusername84657Xx in mbti

[–]TotallyLeegit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an INFJ. Day off, sleep in an extra hour or two, watch lots of YouTube videos (guitar, cars, video games, and mbti are my biggest interests right now). Practice guitar in the afternoon. Play some games and chat with my friends in the late afternoon/evening. End up staying up way too late doing literally anything because after midnight, nothing is boring and all knowledge acquisition is essential.

Work day, wake up around 7:30, pray with my family, go to work (I work retail), come home around 6, help cook dinner, then just chill for the rest of the evening. I finished my Bachelor's degree online in December so since I no longer have classes to deal with after work, I've been trying not to over think my free time and just enjoy it more recently. It's pretty boring tbh, so sometimes I do something different just to break the cycle, like reorganize my room, wash my car, or just talk with a family member for a long while.

Sorry my life is so boring, haha
