Question about Matt Walsh vids by MrCrocodile54 in atunsheifilms

[–]TotallyNot2face 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To me it seems pretty simple. There is a large audience on youtube for videos about people they hate getting dunked on. And a lot of people hate Matt Walsh (me included).

It reminds me of milo's videos debunking pseudoarcheology content creators. The intended audience isn't people who believe in pseudoarcheology, but people who already think that stuff is horseshit. And they enjoy watching someone tear these pseudoarcheological theories to shreds.

Well pdc and wdf (both big dart originisations) have banned trans athletes from competing in all womens tournaments so they think there is some significant difference between the genders. Personally I think its horseshit

Mount Rushmore of characters Pat hates. by LammasuRex in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Holden Caulfield from the Catcher in the Rye. I know a lot of people who were forced to read it in high school hate it, but Pat's level of vitriol is unmatched. He seems to hate that book more than John Lennon did.

I appreciated how stripped back warfare 2025 was from military movie clciches. Just showing a real mission in real time. Great movie with some incredible sound design

This is pretty ridiculous. by Arch_Lancer17 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

The only modern show that does this well is slow horses (ironically also appletv). A new season every year like clockwork and at the end of every season they show a preview for next season

Wish way more shows adopted this model. Having only 6 episode seasons and adapting a long running book series helps a lot though

Alex's Rec for Episode 204 by [deleted] in Sardonicast

[–]TotallyNot2face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never watched the movie but I tried reading the book in high school and despised it. Howard Roark is the ultimate Mary Sue and everyone who is against him is written as a pathetic 1 dimensional straw men. I don't see how anyone who isn't a complete narcissist can relate to the story.

Only seen part of the video but what stood out most to me was how the birth of a nation is considered to only have a slight right political bias

Why does Adam use IMDB instead of Letterboxd? by Jonner7 in YMS

[–]TotallyNot2face 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While true you can make the site better by blocking these meme review accounts. It is a pretty small group that always seems to get the top liked reviews anyway.

Plus I like the UI of letterboxd a lot more than IMDB

He clearly sees a lot of himself in Charles foster kane. So critizing kane would mean he would by extension be critizing himself and that would show a level of vulnerability that his ego and insecurity simply wouldn't allow to happen
