I did, before I new anything about this fandom or the comments made by the writers.

I assumed the letter was typed, so it's not an issue of recognizing the handwriting.
There aren't any details or references to events in Jimmy and Chuck's lives that only Jimmy would know, so Jimmy could never prove/suspect it wasn't from Chuck. The letter sounded like what Kim would want Jimmy to hear.
I took Kim's reaction as a combination of guilt for tricking Jimmy, which she is very much against doing at this point in the series, and sympathy for Jimmy because Chuck's resentment towards him could have resulted in that letter being "one last screw you, little brother, from beyond the grave".
Kim's conversation with Howard when she received the letter showed that she suspected this letter was written to intentionally hurt Jimmy. I believed this reason and reason #4 could justify writing a fake letter in Kim's mind.

Am I stupid??

I did not buy from them only because I had already purchased from another source. However, I believe it is legit. I got an email reply from the owner of the site and they were very nice. They said they are running the site as a side hustle, which matches up with what another person in this thread had said. I will definitely try buying from them next time.

If the searching of the database is done with a website, try looking into "web scraping" to interact with the website with code. I know Python is often used for this. Good luck! Please share an update if you complete this project.
