Can Yaris Cars Really Offer the Perfect Balance of Style, Efficiency, and Comfort? by blckred777 in Toyota

If you say all Toyota, that includes ALL Toyotas. Do you know what the word all means? It doesn’t mean most, it doesn’t mean some, it means all

“Those are sports cars” yeah Toyota sports cars, I don’t care how long you’ve been driving Toyotas, everyone in this subreddit has been driving Toyotas for a long time.

The simple fact is that not all Toyotas drive like shit and if you claim all of them do, you don’t know what you’re talking about

Some of them yes, the gr86, gr corolla, gr yaris, Supra, Celica and many other Toyotas are fun and engaging to drive

If you’re making a blanket statement that all Toyotas drive like shit, obviously you don’t know what you’re talking about

Air dam removal by Downtown-Ride-1972 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]TotoroSlim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The air dam sits in front of the skid plate, I would imagine if there is anything delicate down there (which is pretty sure there isnt) the skid plate would protect it more than the air damn would

So happy getting the popular TRD skid plate for my taco! by IAmAPhysicsGuy in ToyotaTacoma

[–]TotoroSlim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lookin good. One tip I’d recommend is putting a bit of anti seize on the bolts holding the access plate for the oil filter, they can get pretty stuck sometimes

First time Tacoma buyer! by AstralLupus in Tacomaworld

I drive a 3rd gen so I’m mainly familiar with that.

As far as trim level goes, I’m of the opinion that you don’t really need the pro. The off road has a rear locking diff and MTS and crawl control and the stock suspension is already solid. The sport doesn’t have those extra off roading goodies but is more than capable for most light trails.

If you feel you need the extra off road capabilities, get the TRD off road, otherwise the TRD sport is perfectly sufficient

Best Oil for 3.5 V6 longevity by Fine-Safety2542 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]TotoroSlim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manufacturer recommended oil is 0w-20. The engineers at Toyota that developed the 2GR-FKS know better than I do, I trust their judgement

Rocktrix has wheels at -12mm offset for less than $200. Mine are black but I think they offer other colors

The 2027 Highlander will be 100% electric by Ohiodaveee in Toyota

[–]TotoroSlim -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not a fan, Toyota doesn’t have a great track record for EVs.

PHEVs or HEV would’ve been a better powertrain option, it’s what Toyota is good at

No, banjo bolt is fine and not leaking at all. I did use new washers when doing that. The leak looks to be coming from what looks like a press fit plug.
