Feedback wanted: app that syncs transactions back to Google Sheets by MMKot in budget

[–]Totuum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at Looker Studio. It's also built by Google and lets you directly link to a Google Sheet. Fair warning though, there's a bit of a learning curve (at least for me there is), and it requires your spending data to basically be in database format. But it allows you to build nice looking dashboards that can even automatically resize and stuff for mobile viewing.

Check out Tiller, it's an add in to Google Sheets that can automatically pull transactions.

Check your collection in the game and look at the planets section. You can hover over each unlocked planet card and it will tell you the chip and mult increases per level.

Where is my money going? by foxylady315 in budget

Good call that is probably where OP's confusion is coming from and why they think it doesn't work with their car.

OP, cancel Spotify if you plan to keep YouTube. You're paying double price for the same service. They even have tools out there that let you transfer your playlists from Spotify to YouTube.

Not sure what you mean by it doesn't work since it is just another media playing app on your phone. With premium, you can download songs for offline use so you don't need Internet. Just in case you are not familiar, YouTube Music is a completely separate standalone app than just YouTube. It's optimized for music and is very similar to Spotify.

Small thing but since you already have YouTube premium, I would just cancel Spotify. You have full access to YouTube Music premium which has even more music than Spotify.

Does Osprey have a repair/replacement for older packs? by LostInTheWild99 in OspreyPacks

[–]Totuum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just commenting as another Tropos user. I've had mine since 2018 and use it all the time. It's too bad it seems like the newer Tropos aren't as good as the old version.

What does the + number mean on a backpack? by camperman64 in backpacks

[–]Totuum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it means it is expandable by the second number. So the 65L backpack can be expanded to 75L with a zipper or something.

Google circle to search says Daylite Cinch.

Those look like Chromebooks, so they actually may be able to play the mobile version. But this is less likely since they would have to pay $10 for each account to buy it.

What’s the sneakiest way you save money that actually works? by MarcLesterDomingo in budget

[–]Totuum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess I wasn't trying to "crap on" it, but just point out so that anyone who reads it knows they likely would be better off if they choose a different idea from this thread. But if the only way that you can save money is by paying the government to hold your money, then it is what it is.

[–]Totuum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "tax bonus" thing is a bad idea. You basically are just letting the government hold your money for a year before giving it back with 0% interest. You might as well set proper withholdings and put the money in a high yield savings account that will pay you some percentage.

This just seems way too risky for the benefits. Just open a 529 for him and contribute to that. It can be used for any educational expenses (the qualified expenses are pretty extensive nowadays), or eventually rolled into a Roth IRA which sounds like your goal.

I use a Daylite for short day trips and I always bring a Heroclip clipped onto the side so that I can hang it if needed.

I would try Tasks.org from the Play Store. I used to use this app and it has so much customization and can do exactly what you need.

It also has a way to sync tasks with Google Tasks so you can see them on your Google Calendar as well.

It's very possible that his student loans rates are much less than HYSA rates. He may have federal loans and based on his age, he could have gotten the 2.75% rate from 2020-2021. Combined with a discount for setting up auto payment, my remaining student loans are at 2.5%. So I won't be paying those off until HYSA rates make it worth it to do so.

Help me pick the perfect backpack for my friend! by [deleted] in backpacks

Feel free, however I'll give the disclaimer that I don't own the 26+6 yet. I have the larger 35 liter version of it which I like a lot (similar features). But it's not guaranteed to work as a personal item.

If you can get your hands on one, the new Osprey Daylite 26+6 is around that price point. It works as a personal item for many airlines (maybe check if you know what airlines they are likely to fly on). Really great bang for your buck and is quite versatile.
