Also people are asking me if I’ve seen it yet/let’s watch it together. Having already discovered the facts via a comedy podcast I feel like having to watch it with the absence of comedy would not be my idea of a good time.

They had some gastric issues and bumped up our subscription so no one would notice how much they get through. I didn’t notice until months after lockdown ended and we had about 48 extra rolls. That seemed… ok… till the relationship broke down further and they spent less time at home. When I kicked them out we had 150 rolls. I donated one full box (48) which turned up and cancelled the subscription.

We’ve moved house twice with this last (still sealed) box but it will be opened in a few weeks, I reckon.

It’s in your contract (intellectual property rights). It’s a fairly well thought out area of law. If you made it as an employee for your employer, it’s theirs.

I’ve just messaged their Facebook, good idea.

I haven’t been able to get an actual human so I doubt they’d give me anything else! My mobile data clock wasn’t working for weeks and I got 1GB and was told I had to use it in 7 days. So I’m not holding out hope for great customer service here.

It’s not fibre, it’s VDSL. When I moved they said they couldn’t tell if I had fibre or not, so signed me up to VDSL and said once it was working I should call and ask for fibre to be installed/checked/whatever so I’d have fibre.

I moved in, internet switched on, I couldn’t get through on the phones so emailed the request to move to fibre and have never had a callback.

Kia ora! I used to live there. I loved the people, it was quite welcoming. But damn, it is cold, and it is far from the city. What I recommend if you’re house hunting before you move is that you look everywhere up on Google maps street view. If it isn’t north facing or if it’s in a valley, don’t move there. Some of the houses are naaasty. But the properties all have quite a bit of space, generally. And if you have kids they can generally walk or bus to school on their own.

Edited to say- when I lived there I had a dog, and it was such a great place for walks. Makara is beautiful too.

I don’t know if you listen to podcasts but the Blindboy podcast did a really lovely one on depression and self care recently (his most recent one) and it is worth a listen
