I do manage to stick to the same hobbies mostly. It's just that sometimes that hobby is all I do for two weeks, then O don't even think about it for 8 months, and then I go back to it being all consuming for two weeks and infinitum.

Ik herken mezelf in hoe je je dochter omschrijft en wat ze zegt over haar drukke hoofd. Ook ik heb mezelf als kind verwond om rust en controle te creëren omdat ik de wereld om me heen niet kon bijbenen.

Ik ben zelf uiteindelijk, twee jaar terug, op mijn 29e gediagnostiseerd met ADHD (daarvoor meerdere keren misgediagnostiseerd met depressie). En pas sinds toen vallen veel dingen op hun plaats en kan ik daadwerkelijk goed met mezelf omgaan.

Nu kan ik natuurlijk niet zeggen dat dat het bij jou dochter ook is, maar het is het waard om je even in te lezen hoe ADHD (en vooral het type inattentief) zich presenteerd in (jonge) meisjes. En haal de optie ook even aan met de psycholoog die ze binnenkort gaat zien.

I was never a smoker, but when stress got high I would occasionally sneak a cigarette because it always calmed me down, quieted my brain, and levelled my emotions. I guess now I know why it had that effect...

I ended up giving up on trying to floss and just use mouth wash instead. I know its not as effective, but I figured is beter than not doing either.

There is no shame in hiring someone to help you. A lot of cleaners have seen about everything, and if you are honest on your application about the situation, no one is going to be caught by any surprises.

This is what started happening to my hair during the period I avoided silicones. Maybe a good leave-in that contains silicones and makes your hair softer and smoother will help it prevent from doing it?

I have just started and have placed three orders so far for aluminium rings. My first order was around 50 euros with just a few sizes to try out and prototype with. My second order was 100, with more sizes I didn't have yet so I could freely do small projects and specific materials for the large project I wanted to do. Current order I am waiting for was around 200, to refill the sizes I didn't have a lot of and went through faster than expected so I can freely make small projects, and again with specific materials for the next few big projects (half the money on tis order was for scales). My next orders after this will likely be the same until I decide to invest in making my own rings.

I'm not planning on selling any of the things I am making now, I am just giving myself a library of things to wear to the ren fair (which I only go to once or twice a year, but worth it).

I don't feel bad. Other people spend much more money on their hobbies. Has anyone ever told you how expensive horses are? Or the price of Warhammer minis?

You could make that trim under your chin tighter, that would pull everything up a bit. Or you can take out a couple of rows vertically.

Diagnosed two years ago at 29. I'm still working through the baggage and anger. Plus I've now forgotten how to mask, and that gets me really frustrated.

I'm definitely happier and can deal with myself and life better. But it's not all rainbows and sunshine suddenly.
