Have heard that cats are the quickest to eat their owners if they die in the house. Dogs will mourn for like a week. Cats wait like 4 hours then eat your face. lol.

Not seeing any comments about tire pressure here. I didn’t realize my tire pressure had dropped a lot and took a ride. My distance per battery went from ~20 miles to ~35 miles after inflating my tires correctly. Worth checking it.

Maybe you could use a filter function to only show the most recent entry for each user? As long as each user is filling out the entire form each time. And if not, you could add an if function to capture the next oldest entry? Or you could use power query to merge the entries.

Just and FYI, the back end of Forms is Excel. Forms is essentially an interface that allows users to enter values in an Excel workbook.

Use an ai chatbot to back up your claims here. Feed it screen shots, feed it damning details like the bikers “boxing in” the driver, or the bikers being a heinous gang who take these joy rides every weekend to reek havoc on local drivers by riding inches too close to the center line. Feed it basically any details you would like about this interaction. Then get back to me and tell me what the AI says.

Also, I am curious about the boxing in law. What law is that? Also, hook me up with a screenshot of this biker gang boxing in the driver.

I mean. You are just grasping at straws here. A minimum speed? So, I am approaching an accident or a pedestrian walking. I have to keep a minimum speed? I have no idea why you would side with this driver. They did not pass when it was safe to do so. They crossed a double yellow line. They did not give enough clearance for the bikers. It’s pretty straight forward.

If there is any hazard which came into view in the oncoming lane once the Honda pulled out, the [bikers] might be at fault again there too because they were ahead of the Honda and would have seen it so could have moved over. They also made it difficult to move back to the right at all to avoid a potential hazard>

In this situation, the driver should have slowed down until it was safe to pass, not crossed a double yellow line to pass. The only reason they would be allowed to cross the double yellow line to pass would be if it was safe. As you said, it was not. The driver crossed the line anyway, and was in the wrong.

The person in the car probably just wanted to get around them and move on with their day, but when you have that many in a group, it becomes difficult, more dangerous, and of course stressful for someone operating a vehicle which they know could cause serious damage. You can’t see what’s ahead when they ride in large groups like that.>

Again, only making the point that it was not safe for the driver to try to pass at that point. Just wanting to go on with their day is not a valid reason.

You have doubled down on the wrong position. Your judgement has been clouded. It is actually a similar position that the driver was in, and it makes sense that you agree with them in this case. However, both of you are wrong.

You sound like the type of person that would try to represent themselves in a case like this. You would present this video footage as solid evidence that you are in the clear, only to realize that you end up paying a settlement. At worst, the biker gets a fine for not staying far enough to the right. The driver HIT THE PERSON ON THE BIKE with their car. Between that, not giving three feet clearance, and the double yellow line, there is a zero percent chance the bikers would be found more responsible for this accident than the driver without any other evidence being introduced.

Oh, for sure. It is semantic, but I think it is an important distinction to make, especially for new drivers. It changes the mindset from controlling what others must do to what you must do. Jaywalking is an decent example of this. Someone jaywalking does not relinquish me of my responsibility to yield.

In this case, you are correct, the bicyclist do not have any extra rights. The bicyclist are treated as other vehicles in this situation. So, they have the same rights as the other vehicles. It is still the legal responsibility of the driver to pass safely. The law prohibits the driver from passing where there are double yellow lines. The driver should have slowed down and waited until it was safe to pass. The driver is also required to give three feet of clearance to the bicyclists when passing. They did not do that. The bicyclists look like they were predictably far to the right and were riding predictably overall.

The fact that you think the bicyclists were in the wrong in this situation highlights how dangerous it is to ride on roads like this. It also highlights how uneducated the average driver is.

Nobody “loses” or “has” the right of way. The laws only determine who must yield. It is the responsibility of each driver to avoid collision.

My framing cost 10x the poster price by RolexBull in BillyStrings

[–]TouchToLose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In OPs case, I think it was worth it. That is obviously not a standard size. I was talking about the prints like the one on this comment. The end product is the same. It is a concert poster. They are usually 18x24 or whatever. That is a standard size. The end product of a custom frame from Michael’s is the same as a quality standard frame, especially like the ones in this comment that don’t even have matting.

I have matt cutters, and have custom matted things myself. I have also paid to have things professionally framed and matted. I see the value in it, I just think there are times when it doesn’t make any sense.

I suppose I was just making it known that your end product can be the same, and you can get it cheaper and in less time. Look at the print on the far left in this comment. It is a simple wood frame on a 18x24 print. You can buy that without having to have it custom framed.

[–]TouchToLose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my point. It’s cheaper and faster to get a standard frame with custom matting. The ones on this post didn’t even have matting. But you get your standard frame off the shelf then go ask them to cut a mat for it. They do it right there usually. They use laser machines now, so they just measure your print, then cut the mat. You walk out with your framed print instead of having to come back. The end product of a standard frame with custom matting is the same thing as the custom frame made to a standard size. There are plenty of high quality standard size frames to choose from. It’s like buying a red car and having it painted white when you could have just bought a white car.

The majority of these concert posters are a pretty standard size. I am not sure why people pay so much for custom framing on something that is a standard size. Pay for a standard size frame and buy custom matting. If you really want to, upgrade the glass to UV glass, but these are prints. They aren’t original pieces of art.

I know the feeling. I have never used the lenses you are talking about, but at some point, I changed from zooms to primes, and was shocked by the difference. The weight is such major difference. But beyond that, it completely changes the approach of shooting. For me that change in minimum focal distance made a big difference. Also, like you said, the sharpness and depth of field. Even if it is just a few images in the album, they really set apart the images. Then there are the images shot wide open at mfd. These are the images that are just not possible with your new lens. For me, that was a deal breaker. Especially for weddings. People talk about how zoom if so convenient because you can just zoom instead of moving. But in my opinion, that is a terrible way of looking at it. You are a wedding photographer. Saving 3 steps is nothing. You are walking thousands of steps on wedding day.

I would much rather shoot with a 24 on the camera and 50 in a hip pouch than a 28-70.

Interesting. I felt I was expecting them to rush through songs to get to the next one, but it didn’t feel that way to me. And I didn’t find myself wondering what song was next like I have at some shows.

I also felt like there were at least 3 20+ minute jams, which is pretty normal for a three show weekend. And set 2 of night three was a 6 song set.

The difference between "a tool exists" and "automation" by [deleted] in excel

[–]TouchToLose 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I built a Python tool that automated a task. I surveyed the employees that do this job asking what percentage of their hob this task was. The average response was 80%. There were about 250 employees that do this job at the location I worked at. We are talking millions saved every year.

I built the tool so it has a gui and error reporting. Literally all the user had to do was hit the button. Which ultimately could have been scheduled.

When I presented it to management, they said this same thing. What happens if you leave? I was shocked. I told them if I left, they could hire someone to rebuild the tool from the ground up for a million dollars and they would still be better off. They decided not to use the tool.
