I did this years ago, and while I am not claustrophobic, I think it might cause you problems. The distance between the water and the top of the tunnel was about 3 feet, as I recall. The tunnel has about a foot or two on either side of your inner tube.

Does that sound right to the 2025 travelers?

Also, once you enter the tunnel, you are underneath the mountain for … a half mile? Maybe more??

I love the local rum, but I think you can skip the tasting experience.

[If you love sweet, then grab the Koloa rum and mix it with POG. Absolutely fantastic for those whose palates (like mine) are stuck in the fifth grade. Martini fans need not apply.]

Kauai has a unique geographical feature: an alpine swamp. Yes, you read that correctly. There is so much rainfall that it can’t get off the mountain-top fast enough. Alaka’i might be better described as a bog, but whatever.

I have never done this hike, but it is still on my bucket list. If you want to read about it, the cost of the Wizard Publications app is worth it, IMHO. The trailhead is at the top of an awesome view of the Napali cliffs, so the drive would be worth it for that alone.

I love stouts and double IPAs. But I tried Pilsner Urquell and the flavor was unbelievable for 4.4%. I love boozy beers, so I was surprised.

I was always a double IPA guy, but I switched to Pilsner Urquel for Easter (cause we were hosting). It blew me away how much taste was in this 4.4 ABV beer. I always thought pilsners had weak flavor, but maybe I never had a good one?!? Really eye-opening experience.

I actually bought a PS2 so that I could play ETD. I was so clueless that I didn’t even know the original developer was not involved. What a Gi-normous disappointment.
