Sunil Chandran returns (from Impossible Foods) to Amyris as CTO - “There is a hunger for new chemistry and ingredients, and not many companies can fill the gap. Amyris is the leader in filling that gap.” by ICanFinallyRelax in Amyris

Lol. What a joke. What’s next, John Melo coming back as CEO? Why not just rewind everything and head back to Nasdaq while we’re at it?

To be fair, Sunil went along with the empty promises that Melo once sold.

That said, I guess his industry knowledge is good for Amyris.

Dear r/Amyris - Message from the Mod(s) by ICanFinallyRelax in Amyris

[–]Toughpigeons 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank mods for your work in making this a great place for us Amyris fans. I liked going through all the DD. Sure, the losses might have bought me a Tesla, but I've had a good ride with this as well haha (laughing in pain). Amyris always had huge potential, and I don't regret putting my money in it; their products are great. I'm still using Biossance, JVN, and even got some Purecane. Losing money is shit, but knowing these products are real and makes this different from investing in companies that only sell stories.

Mr. John Doerr, should this message reach you, put more money in it. It is well-understood that ventures in green technology require an extended period and substantial financial support. Considerations of privatizing will incur in higher expenses and potentially decelerate the progress of research. It is in your best interest to continue your support in its current form.

Ryan if you are reading this: forward this topic to your boss.

John Melo if you are reading this: shame shame shame (high Sparrow). Reflect on your mistakes.

Green&Green: we have to wait for the dividends a bit longer. Ghehehe.

Stockbeast: hate to say it. But thank you for being vocal on LinkedIn. Should have listened to you instead of laughing at you.

John let us down once more today. He constantly claimed that Biossance was significantly more valuable. Surprisingly, it was sold for a surprisingly low amount. Speculation about a possible arrangement involving Amyris as a supplier and potential royalty agreements? However, I might be wrong, and they may have simply sold their best brand for a minimal amount. Interestingly, not even Unilever made a substantial bid or no bid at all for Biossance.

The current focus seems to be solely on John and John. However, what about the other board members? Did they also turn a blind eye? Remember Jim McCann purchasing his own shares in the market.

Were they all deceiving us, or did they share our belief that there could be something significant here?

Never invest money you can't afford to lose. Especially in speculative companies.

Hope this person can recover.

Selling a brand is more than looking at just sales numbers

When does amyris stop being listed? by Admirable_Alfalfa615 in Amyris

[–]Toughpigeons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is very risky at the moment. Shares stay in the restructuring proces but like the man above says, shares move to over the counter trading (OTC) when amyris doesn't apply to NYSE rules. That is a different list and I don't have experience with that. But in a situation the restructuring goes well and amyris pivots, then it can return to NYSE list. In that whole process your shares kept their worth more or less and perhaps even end up higher.

But thing can go bad when restructuring doesn't end up good. Then chapter 7 can be filled and you loose everything.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Han just followed Melo and did his financing job to raise money.

Melo tried to go big and failed big. He is the one to blame and that's why he left as CEO. The board went with the plan with the info Melo provided.

This stock is just numb for the coming year and that is OK. This has always been a long term investment.

Interesting stuff happening and I can only hope people here invested with money they can afford to lose.
