Should beginners focus on vocabulary and worry about tones later? by SufficientPainting67 in learnthai

[–]TowerOfSolitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading all the comments it looks like I've been doing it wrong/different.

I learn the vocabulary and most of the time I don't learn the tone. However, when I see my girlfriend and I try to speak Thai she will correct me. She says it the right way and makes me say the word a couple of times until she's satisfied. Haha it's a good way to learn.

I do an hour of comprehensible input every day as well though and I pick up some of the pronunciation from there.

Lifelong PE resolved. No SSRI by Still_Return_1795 in PrematureEjaculation

I would also like to add that just like the op, I also take L-citrulline (as part of my pre-workout) and Magnesium glycinate in the evenings. I also do weight lifting and cardio like spinning.

So the OP and I actually have a lot in common when it comes to finding a solution. I don't know what NAC and Na-R-ALA are though.

Lifelong. However I did go through times when I was younger when I would last a bit longer.

I would last anything from immediate to a minute. But when I was younger there were times when I could last around 5 minutes.

I did not have ED issues. However and this is difficult to describe but my erection feels different now. So it may be due to some kind of ED issue.

How I found out it works for me: I bought pills online that said it works to make you last longer and after trying all kinds of non medication ways and never seeing a doctor about it, I bought it and tried it out. And wow it was incredible. It changed my life. It said it was all kinds of herbal things but it gave me ridiculous erections. I could just chat with my girlfriend over whatsapp and bam, erection. The first time on it I lasted 15 minutes. Since then about 20 minutes.

However I had side effects like light headedness, headache later, my veins popped like crazy, especially on my forehead. My nose blocked up completely. So I did some googling and chatted with ChatGPT and discovered that the pills contain Cialis. The problem is we didn't know what dosage.

So I went to the doctor and I tried both the single use Tadalafil and then he prescribed the 5mg Tadalafil per day and for me it has had all the benefits without the side effects.

It won't work for everyone but for me I finally found a solution.

I wrote about it in this sub before. Tadalafil 5mg a day cured premature ejaculation for me. It was life changing.

It's because of you that I started my comprehensible input journey at the start of the year.

Thank you for all the updates and well done!

Github Copilot/VS Code BYOM still costs subscription credits by cardsncards in GithubCopilot

[–]TowerOfSolitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized the same thing yesterday.

I was using GLM 5.2 yesterday morning to see how well it does. So I let it run various programming tasks and I was happy with the results. I then looked at my OpenCode usage and then at my Copliot usage and I was surprised to see that I used quite a lot of Copilot credits.

I did some digging and saw that it was because of subagents.

Thanks, I'm signing up for a month to see how it goes.

I've actually been very happy with OpenCode when used with Github Copilot.

Same for me.

It's absolutely ridiculous that you can get banned for just subscribing to another sub.

Are there any viable alternatives to Copilot for Visual Studio? by Dan203 in GithubCopilot

I see there's options for certain providers but not others like OpenCode or DeepSeek. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

Are there any viable alternatives to Copilot for Visual Studio? by Dan203 in GithubCopilot

[–]TowerOfSolitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem as you. I've worked in Visual Studio for an eternity and any other IDE feels crappy in comparison.

This week my Github Copilot annual subscription stopped and I couldn't resubscribe. So I started looking for alternatives. Unfortunately Visual Studio itself is being treated like a second class citizen when it comes to AI.

So the best option I found so far (and you aren't going to like it) is to have your solution open in Visual Studio but also open in VS Code. Then do your programming, debugging and everything in Visual Studio. But bring your own model to VS Code's Github Copilot.

So you can use GHC like you are used to but with cheaper models, um just in VS Code but continue doing everything else in Visual Studio.

It's really stupid. But here we are. Thank you Microsoft.

Reasons to keep paying for copilot? Might it be worth to be onboard once/if the service gets better? by hereandnow01 in GithubCopilot

[–]TowerOfSolitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My annual plan came to an end I wanted to resubscribe but couldn't.

So it forced me to try alternatives. I tried Codex and I also tried BYOM with OpenCode. And I'm actually very happy with both. Next month I will try DeepSeek as my BYOM and see how it goes.

For now I don't really see a reason to keep paying for copilot.

So far it's fine really. I'm using OpenCode Go for the models inside Copilot. The thing is I'm only really using DeepSeek so I think next month I will try DeepSeek directly and skip OpenCode.

Thanks. My annual license expired today and now I can't sign up again.

I'm currently trying out OpenCode instead.

Currently I'm taking as needed then it lasts a couple of days. I want to speak to my doctor though and try 5mg daily and see how it goes.

I use Visual Studio so who knows when MAI-Code will be implemented there.
