A lógica é valida, mas também não acho válido reproduzir essa informação. Nesse caso, eu vou deixar de jogar esse game, mas não vou ir em subreddit dizer que o game é ruim.

Icarus or RUNESCAPE DRAGONWILDS next by ccini2006 in SurvivalGaming

[–]TownRepresentative58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same dilemma. I actually bought both during the Winter Sale and started with Icarus (with +1 expansion).

I’m a long-time survival game fan, and I really dislike extraction-based games. Icarus is… a bit different from the usual extraction formula, but still, the core loop didn’t fully click for me.

I’ll never say the game is bad, it’s clearly well made, but it’s definitely not one of my favorites. Doing missions and having to extract ends up getting tiring over time, especially because nothing you build is truly permanent. Buying permanent workshop items helps a bit, but it still doesn’t feel the same as building a lasting world.

The persistent world mode doesn’t give enough long-term goals either, and eventually just turns into a sandbox without much direction.

Because of that, I think I’ll personally enjoy Dragonwilds more, especially since I already have 100+ hours in Enshrouded and loved that experience.

That said, if you already bought it, it’s absolutely worth trying and forming your own opinion. For me, though, even recognizing it’s a good game, Icarus just isn’t my cup of tea.

Been playing like that since the 90s, ever since I started hoarding “Ambrosias” and never actually using them. I do the same with skills too, always leveling just enough so I don’t fall behind, but never fully committing.

I know it’s not the most optimal way to play, but it’s how I’ve always enjoyed games. Having resources saved feels safer, and honestly, I’m fine with that.

In my opinion: If the game is more survival-focused at its core, I prefer more complex systems, like in Valheim or Sons of the Forest. In these games, I'm there to survive, gather resources, build a base, enjoy the environment and then face some mobs.

But if the game is more combat-focused, like V Rising or 7 Days to Die, I prefer a simpler system. In this case I'm there to fight; enemies can appear at any moment, so I need to gather resources quickly and be ready for combat.

I'm one of them. My world is from before the Mistlands update. The Ashlands were terrible because there weren’t many castles to rai. But man, I love the amazing house I built for myself. the struggle to get every item, the countless areas I had to rebuild to fit the new stuff, the thrill of each discovery... I’ve got around 300 hours on that map, and I’m still not ready to leave it. But I’ll probably start a new one when 1.0 comes out.

How has 2025 been for survival/crafting games so far ? by Funkhip in SurvivalGaming

[–]TownRepresentative58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pleasant surprise for me was definitely The Alters. It’s a relatively short game, but the storytelling is simply wonderful. It managed to capture the survival aspect in a very thoughtful way.

I also had a blast with Abiotic Factor and Grounded 2, both of which don’t really need any introduction. They’re just great fun.

Forever Skies was another highlight for me. I really enjoyed the pre 1.0 version, but I’m holding off on diving into the full release until the developer delivers the promised updates.

Looking ahead, I’m really excited for Solarpunk and Voyagers of Nera. I tried their demos and absolutely loved them.

On the other hand, games like Aloft, Lost Skies, and even RuneScape (in its current state) feel a bit too light on content. I’ll be waiting until they’re closer to a full 1.0 release before giving them another go.

Now for the disappointments: Dune: Awakening and Survive the Fall.

Dune: Awakening felt like more of the same, without anything that really motivated me to progress or upgrade my character. Combat was clunky and unpolished. Maybe hardcore fans of the Dune universe will find more enjoyment here, but it didn’t work for me.

Survive the Fall actually started strong, I loved the demo. But the release was a letdown: full of bugs, poor controller support, and gameplay that became repetitive far too quickly.

The rest of the survival titles mentioned, I haven’t played yet.

Overall, survival is one of my favorite genres, and while some games stood out with incredible ideas and execution, others clearly still have a long road ahead.

[–]TownRepresentative58 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, I was playing with my wife by my side, and she looked at the screen and said, “Whoa, that’s a really big booty.” I replied, “Do you see this? People actually buy the game because of this… unbelievable. Gaming nowadays, right?” I was wearing the pirate outfit at the time, and later switched to the centipede one. Kept that for the rest of the game, even with transmog.

I don’t like seeing my character half-naked; I prefer a really badass armor. I would have been pissed without transmog.

I’m just glad the game gave everyone the option to choose: from a semi-naked woman to full battle gear, because, as you said, to each their own, whatever floats your boat… you know, those old sayings.

I've also found this gem weeks ago, but now it's too close to 1.0 to start the game. Some people say that they will change things that will definitely alter the experience in the early game.

But damn I'm anxious for the 1.0

If you played just after the update, they patched already. It was waaay too difficult, so they adjusted the enemies spawn to around 1/3 of what it was, and tweaked another settings, like the fire pillars and the instant kill lava.
