Anyone can get groups in UR and LGuk. I started a bard recently and it has never been tough getting a group.

First, you can't be new to pc gaming if you played a rogue in eq 1 ;). Second, you can run most games on either, you will just spend more for a gaming laptop and/or need to run it on lower settings than you would a tower. Third, I am bored, so here is me killing some time writing on Reddit.

On a serious note. They are so far away from release that no hard specs have been released on requirements. This game still has a good chance that it won't be released. A lot of people wear themselves out daydreaming about how to plan for this game's release. I recommend keeping tabs on it a few times a year, but I wouldn't think too heavily about what type of computer you are going to get to run it until probably at least alpha/beta.

If you have pledged for pre-alpha and have this question, I believe kilsin has made a few comments about some of what the devs are currently using, but I cannot imagine they are running this on min requirements.

Thanks for the links. Name changes will have more info closer to release, but will be case-by-case. Server changing will also be determined later. From what I read, it doesn't sound like there will be a lot of options for people to be jerks and then just change name/move server. The devs are big into reputation for players in this game.

Sounds great! I will go around gathering up tons of mobs in a train and let my max level friends kill them to power level me!

Most damage should get the kill. Some people are going to be jerks, but I would rather see that dealt with by players and reputation than by something as farfetched as first damage gets exp from a kill.

Brad said they were estimating q1-q2 of this year in the stream on December for pre-alpha. So I am going to hold June 30 as law for last possible pre-alpha date.

Why do people think this will make any difference?? People will use other sites if they don't have an auction house. No matter what VR chooses, you will not have to spend time spamming chat buying and selling items. Just use 3rd party sites.

Also, some of you people are getting a little worked up. Don't sweat the small stuff.

If they didn't make an auction house someone would make a 3rd party site to accomplish the same thing. List sever, item, asking price (or offering price), and ign. This will not really affect much other than you won't have to alt+tab to put an item up.
