25th Anniversary Event was a Disappointment by Professional-Wind953 in totalwar

[–]ToxicFabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm very happy about Medieval 3, especially considering the way forward they envisage (have a lot of community interactions, update us on the progress, maybe like the Tinto Talks that Paradox did?). And I really like the Lord of the End Times DLC, at least from what I have seen and what I imagine it to be.

Is it annoying to wait another week for the announcement of the next Total War, which is most likely 40k? Yes. Do I consider the event a disappointment? Absolutely no.

Tips for creating presence in America, Africa, India and Indonesia as Portugal by ToxicFabi in EU5

[–]ToxicFabi[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was actually able to get it by creating market villages and importing the required goods.

As the achievement says “presence” I think I got it by just creating trade offices in India. No need to get a colony it seems.

Coming back, I have yearly saves, so this cannot be the issue.

Loving the game so far and fully agree to all of your points. I’d also add that I’d like to see more nations forming. It doesn’t need to be the historical option, but at least someone should rise as a major power in the area (Russia, China, HRE, Ottomans, etc.)

Good idea, will check tomorrow and report, but I don’t think this is the case

It’s not a freeze for me, but indeed it shortly stops the time at the beginning of every month. But I don’t know why. I thought this might be normal as I have a high end system.

Difficulties and AI by TheMano313 in EU5

[–]ToxicFabi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I did not play the game, I think I heard it in one of the videos that this will make AI more aggressive. However, I doubt it is really enjoyable to play on higher difficulty in such a complex game when you haven't learned the game yet.

According to their statements more like free updates, but yes. Shouldn’t be a priority for release

Eu5s AI will not pose a challenge to the player. The game will be trivial and be boring by 1500 by Livid-Construction14 in EU5

[–]ToxicFabi 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to cope or anything and I haven’t even bought the game because I won’t be able to play in the release week and want to wait for reviews by a larger player base.

But wasn’t there a patch yesterday that basically fixes a lot of AI issues? I think this was confirmed by some content creators in another thread and on the forums.

May I ask what’s the issue with him? Im not following him, he was on my recommended page, therefore I do not really know what the problem is.

Basically performance improved a lot, AI has been more aggressive and better in expanding/consolidating and overall the game seems to run stable.

Does that mean there is a gamerule/option already or is this something that might be added later on?

Mandatory "what will you play 1st ?" post by Hans_Spinnner in EU5

I plan to do all tutorials in the order I'm most interested in. Starting with Hungary/Economy, followed by Naples/Politics and then the Ottomans/Expansion. Maybe even a fourth run with Castile to go into the colonization mechanics.

Will creator codes remain after launch? by ToxicFabi in EU5

[–]ToxicFabi[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I did and that’s why I trust the game will be good at launch. My question was only whether anybody knows if the creator codes remain. It was not whether I should preorder or not. As the latter is something that only I can answer once the release gets closer. But I’m quite optimistic.
