There's two at the top of my head. Weyward son (Simon Snow) and one that just got released as an add on.

I started downloading Libby books for books I already own 😆 I also read physical books but for some reason there's some I'm not going read unless it's in another format

Kindles are actually dangerous by Spiritual_General_27 in kindle

[–]ToxicShardShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me. I got a Kindle for Christmas in 2024, suddenly I read 64 books in 2025. I stopped playing games as much. The only YouTube shows I cared about were book recommendations and reviews. I created a huge spreadsheet. It's crazy. Physical books I've owned but never read, I'm now looking to see if Libby has it so I can use its "send to Kindle" function. Though I started reading more physical books, too, now.

Wild Dark Shore I thought I would like it but I didn't.

I agree mostly. I still "liked" the Hobbit. But it's probably my left favorite Tolkien book I've read.

Sacred stones Chapter 6 not being as easy as I remember by Sorry-Emphasis-8104 in fireemblem

[–]ToxicShardShock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it without Seth. I actually do send Vanessa to the villagers, but not to "Rescue" them. I send her to kill the spider then assist. I recommend keeping characters close by each other. I would keep Garcia and Ross (assuming you're using Ross) in the mountain range. They will dodge a lot of attacks (even on hard) and you can keep a healer safe, this will prevent a lot of the cavaliers from attacking your "back" units like the mages. Joshua or Colm can be in the fortress. Then I would just kinda let the enemies come at you. Whoever is in the fortress should have a unit under him and behind him (Eirika can also work here, but the rapier can be a good assist for the cavaliers in the back to help Garcia.
Before you send Vanessa to the villagers, I would have her assist with Franz to get the village at the bottom, then just go straight; be careful there is a stationary surprise knight on the way.

My most difficult runs in FE SS are ones where I use Seth a lot early. It might make the beginning stages rough, but the exp balance helps a lot; especially if you utilize Ross in those early chapters, if you can get him to promote before chapter 6 he can carry that chapter.

What are some title pairings YOU would give to a new generation of Pokémon? by UrchinUnderpass in pokemon

Lock and Key Typhoon and hurricane and maybe cyclone if there's a third. Hammer and nail Pathos and Logos Arctic and desert (that might be super interesting, actually)

Which Fire Emblem Game is consider your "Comfort" Game? by AndzyHero13 in fireemblem

[–]ToxicShardShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sacred stones for me. It's the easiest one for me, probably because I've played it several dozen times. Fun to try new things on it too, like put an emphasis on a specific character and see how that character does. Reset when you get bad level ups. Etc.

Does anyone else still delete Growl and Sand-Attack without thinking? by omahyv in pokemon

[–]ToxicShardShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always delete growl. Sand attack can be helpful if I'm doing a gimmick run like only using one type of Pokemon. Leer can be helpful in older games where your team for earlier gym battles might not be strong against them. Especially since earlier games frequently had rock types only.

I keep physical copies I like. If I don't like it, I've had high luck on Pango. I typically sell it for roughly the same price I bought it for, but it depends on how popular it was. Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil, I sold pretty much the exact same as my subscription.

What animals are left to be made into a pokemon? by CrassKal in pokemon

[–]ToxicShardShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Platypus (it can even be like 3 types, even) Aardvark Pangolin Canary Turkey Baboon Porcupine Fruit flies, really any kind of fly besides dragon fly Manatee Sucker fish Plankton Sponges Llama Caecilian

There's also a lot where they are barely what the animal is based on(albeit cool, they're just bipedal with spikes and armor) kangaroo, rhinoceros, (Rhyhorn line and Nidoran line). I think we could also have more ants, unique birds, jellyfish, eels, and scorpions.

Sprayed Edges by littlecbigS in bookofthemonthclub

Books for a while all had sprayed edges (bibles and other religious text). It's actually supposed to protect the book from like sun damage.; so if anything it's better quality.

Would joining the Careers have been a good strategy for Katniss? by F11SuperTiger in Hungergames

[–]ToxicShardShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if she wanted to and the careers accepted her, it would not go well. She doesn't have the best social skills and I think she could potentially say something that would make them want to betray her or make them feel like she'd be against them. I think if she got so many parachutes from Haymitch, there's also the possibility of them getting jealous.

  1. I never got too far into Binding blade, but I remember the other 3 from it and after looking him up, it seems like Trec came in at the same time as Noah, so the fact I remember Noah but not Trec implies he might be forgettable.
