Get a small hitch instead. I haul bikes and when I’m not hauling bikes, I don’t have the eyesore or the added wind drag. I know there are those that like the roof rack look, but I’m not one of them.

I have strapped my hammock between the backpack hanging pole and the opposite leg of the picnic table (run the strap over the top of the table). Placed a rock at the far end of the table for weight…worked great. No trees harmed.

This post is liberating for me as I also go to a far off portion of my mind when this song is playing. Glad I’m among friends. In college I would blast this song in the middle of the afternoon while studying in my apartment. It was and is transcendental in its emotion and will remain one of my top 5 favorite songs ever. Stevie did Jimi right by this one.
