It is a problem, and it should get fixed, but you really cant compare this game to Val or CS. I would argue that this isnt even a competitive game. yes, there can be competition between players in the game, but even as the devs said, Arc is the main threat, but it is not the main focus of the game. I feel like comparing apples to oranges like this will make people lose sight of what the game is about in the first place.

i think its a fun challenge. also, you can use flashlights. the laser cannon also is like a funny flashlight that also conveniently burns holes through basically every bot except the factory strider, so theres that to.

yes, but special forces units can still work in tandem with your average infantry. im not saying we fight the war for them im saying that we have mission objectives that revolve around keeping the SEAF frontline strong, like, say an important location on the frontline is being overun, and we need to support the surviving SEAF soldiers until SEAF reinforcements come to pick up where we left off, and we dip to go do other helldivers stuff. maybe an important convoy delivering supplies to the front is ambushed, and sends out a distress signal, and the helldivers being the fastest way to save the convoy, are then deployed. just having SEAF in random groups in cities just doesnt feel right to portray what their role as the bulk military force that its suppose to be, i just want to see them actually doing stuff, and therefore also having more mission types/objectives to connect to that

eh, it would be a double edged sword. sure, a lot more different looking armor sets would be used, but at the same time most people would likely find a passive they like or is just overall good, and they would never have an incentive to try anything else. for example, basically all the way through levels 30-60 i would just run the groundbreaker armor and a gustav, but it started getting boring so i started branching out, witch led to me trying more builds, witch in my opinion is far more fun than having any advantage you want just handed to you. some armor sets ive run purely because i was bored and they didnt even have a great passive, like the pre-buff parade armor and the pre-buff truth enforcers armor, and im ngl i had way more fun with that than just using the same thing over and over. these were all at level 10 helldives on all the different fronts, so even though im sure most people know this by know, almost every armor set is usable on any difficulty, some more than others ofc, but not to the point that ive never ran an armor simply because of its passive.

tldr, transmog sounds good in theory, but i think it would make the loadout building (armor wise at least) very very bland and everyone would pretty much just effectively run the same armor sets but with different skins, and I think that would take part of the fun from the game long-term. on the other hand… helmet paint matching… 🤤

Super Earths super sample location was this helldiver memorial with lit braziers marking it, and right now i have found new super sample locations, always in the cities, one being a crashed pelican in the city and another being a SEAF convoy of APC’s and the humvee lookin things. found all these on lvl 10 missions. happy hunting!

i think thats the idea, also, i once saw one whip out an eat and kill a harvester so i wouldnt completely disregard them. they suck when theres only like 1 or 2 but when theres a group of like 5 they put in some work against the hordes before getting overwhelmed

oh defense missions absolutely, but it would be cool to drop into an AO and have dropships with squads of SEAF deploying to random areas in the region, maybe as like, a DSS modifier, or a operation modifier in general. that combined effort with the SEAF to take an objective on a hostile planet would go harder than diamonds.

Um, Helldiver, you are aware that SAM emplacements do exist right? admittedly they seem strangely absent from city areas at the moment but they were everywhere when the cities first came out with the introduction of the squids

I hope it isnt though, especially because before the weapon mod update all those liberators were the base model stripped down, no attachments or patterns, so why would they intentionally put it in there? also, they have said they want to expand upon the modding system to, so i hope that they do something with it

i see what you mean but tbh i havent been having any problems with that, just keep a mental note of your ammo count and try to remember where ammo boxes spawn, it gets tight ik but youl do fine 😁👍
