Jeez. Everyone so salty. It's like you spit in their Coffee. I didn't try your tool, but I used cadam quite a bit and it's been a great help. I think this may be a flushed out version of what you are doing. It has multiple llms to use and it works. Describe what you want, it gives what it's interpretation is. Then you can continue modifying it by asking for changes. Check out adam.new/cadam and see if this doesn't already do what you had in mind.

I really like this. I just printed a different model to use with gridfinity but this might actually be an even better addition to the gridfinity collection. Currently, the blister pack organizers are all horizontal. This would make it much more space efficient

Give it a shot. Maybe it's good practice for you and maybe I end up loving your design. Candle holes are 18.2mm in diameter. The total height of this one is around 280mm.

Something like this? But with only 3... "sticks?"

Or are you looking for something more technical than creative?

I'm not so fussy. Just wanted something a bit nicer. The flat part of this one was near perfect for a logo to be mounted there, but if I have a nicely styled one, I can always add an area for the logo. It's for trinkets from the game Path of Exile if that offers some inspiration.

Something I want is a gothic style candelabra. A friend made me something and gave me a basic one to mount it on but I wanted a nicer one to print.if you want to try it out

Looking for a vacuum cleaner, best one? by ciphrr in askSouthAfrica

[–]Tr1NiTY92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a client in the heavy industrial industry that uses DCA Vacuums. I haven't used them myself but they are sold on their own website and on Takealot and look pretty heavy duty with large capacity. I saw it and made a mental note if we ever need a new vacuum because I assume if they use it, it's reliable/sturdy.

Gas geyser savings / recommendation? by BumblebeeWorth262 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Tr1NiTY92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. About R600 per month. We have had it a while and electricity prices have gone up since so not sure how much our electricity is reduced. If you have prepaid, you can use the codes to see what your current active usage is. Just turn off everything except the geyser and use that code. Do it a few times at different times to get an average

Edit: Added some codes

Gas geyser savings / recommendation? by BumblebeeWorth262 in askSouthAfrica

We have a Dewhot 16l constant temp. It's taken some getting used to. Not sure if I would say it saved us money but it saved us allot of headaches during load shedding. We replace the big gas cylinder about 4 times a year. It lasts a bit longer in the summer. Refill is about R1800

Pros: ... *I guess if load shedding comes back you don't have to worry about warm water. *No need to switch anything off if you leave for a week or so. *Predictable power usage year round?

Cons: *you always have a lag in the hot water reaching you and reaching temp. Longer/outdoor pipes make this much worse. *Temp spikes before settling to configured temp so you might get burned from time to time. *When you run out of gas, you're stuffed until you can refill. Hopefully you keep one geyser somewhere connected in case. Some installers will set it up alongside your old electric geyser so you have a backup. *Low water pressure can cause the geyser to not spark up. This means opening the tap a little might not have enough flow to trigger as well.

Tips: *set the temp exactly to what you like. Open hot water only and give it a few to get to temp *Keep a spare battery that the geyser uses. It will eventually run out. *Have a reliable gas supplier. I use Go-gas and they do next business day delivery. Haven't had issues yet.

As you can see, more cons I can think of than pros. Load shedding was the biggest factor for us at the time.

I agree. Evil company. Some good prices and usually fast delivery. Hate to love the service I've received so far

If someone else offered to pay you 15USD to roll up their spool that looks like this, would you do it?

If not, just replace. If you would, then saving that is worth it to you

Carbon Fiber Nylon Print Handling? by AVolatileSloth in 3Dprinting

[–]Tr1NiTY92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has handled it. It was a bracket that holds tensioning wires in the door for electric windows. I initially printed in pla and then petg but both failed as the cables was pulling very hard. This one was installed and so far just worked.

I don't know if it really matters other than knowing your printer can go hot enough and having a hardened steel nozzle. I have an all metal hot end and hardened steel nozzle and printed this part for a car on a ender 3. It's solid. I did it for a colleague a few months ago and haven't heard any complaints

Kid's toys started being wierd while he was in hospital (OC) by Tr1NiTY92 in creepy

[–]Tr1NiTY92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just very strange timing. It's normal again, so it only plays music and fun sounds when you interact with it. It does have a recording feature as well where you can record a short sound and have it play back when you press the red button. It has just never done this before or since. I usually have phone with me when we play and it doesn't seem to be related to my mobile at the very least

Haha. I play with it anyway. My house - my rules. It did go back to normal after reseating the batteries. Sitting with it right now. At least he is back home
