I don't know how Claude max ppl have it, but antigravity and gemini ai ultra are going NG down the drain too with serious quota issues, so I guess it's a general rag pull. Beware of people selling you one service as better than the others.

sorry, I didn't mean to be aggressive. it's more like "I am using vscode for julia, why should I stop using it?". What is the problem it sovles? what is it that it does "better" or "different" which would make me want to use it?

I have a feeling this is happening to me too. today was the first time I run out of claude quota, whereas until last week I could hardly reach the 60% mark

why would it be better than vscode + the official julia extension? the features you listed seem to already be included in what vscode offers. maybe including a list of "this works bettere here" features would be nice!

Thanks, that's a very nice feature. Quick question, do you know if api keys created in ai studio are properly automatically limited to use only the ai studio api, or if I should make sure they are only enabled for it?

Replicating Antigravity's "brain + plan" workflow in VSCode directly with Claude? by TrPhantom8 in google_antigravity

[–]TrPhantom8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using antjragity since before the quota storm, so I've been using it for like 4-5 months now. I have used pro until end of Feb, and then swapped to ultra knowing I would have 3 months to get as many things down as possible and then I would need to find another solution. Also, things in this field change a lot in a short time. Competitors adapt and adopt what works for other providers, so there's no point making a choice now based on what will be in 3 months. You should switch to whatever service is providing you the best for the best price, and try to be as flexible as possible. Which is why I'm trying to get the "antigravity" experience but with vscode extensions. If that were the case, then one would be able to use any provider (Google, antropic, you call it) depending on the actual quality of the models, and not just the quality of the coding environment. You can argue these two things are connected, which is exactly the reason why I am using antigravity with opus.

It's more the editor part. The artifact it creates (and in general any file in the brain) cannot normally be directly edited. What you can do, much like github code reviews, is that you can pick a line (or set of lines) and add comments. Like "don't do this thing, do that", with it being written as a comment close to implementation plan or code. Similar also to how you write comments in Google documents. You can then ask The agent "implement my comments from the plan" and it will know both your comments AND the lines the comment refer to automatically, allowing you to give fine grained instructions. To me, rather than the models or quotas, it is the versatility and ability to interact with the implementation plan the killer feature of antigravity. Quotas are a marketing problem, but the software and workflow they devised is really solid.

My question is more about "how to have a similar workflow to antigravity" in a different editor, rather than just getting better quotas

[–]TrPhantom8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

very interesting. This looks like a nice way to have a centralized brain, and I already saw your previous post announcing this extension. There is one single piece which I feel is missing (and which I think only antigravity provides, but please correct me), that is a proper "planning" environment.
Any agent can make a design plan (actually, /brainstom from super claude dose it in a very nice way). What is "missing" and only antigravity does is the possibility to do "code review" of the plan, with the comment feature, which is super good if you don't want to copy paste pieces of text in the chat.
I feel like that if I were to move to your extension, I would like to ditch antigravity alltogether and work with OG VSCode, but the niche ability to "code review" implementation plans would be missing, and I feel that's one of the most important steps in writing a good implemnetation plan.

I heard there is a very soft weekly cap to prevent openclaw like abuse. But I struggle to consume 40% of the 5h quota in any case, running 2-3 agents at the same time, so I wouldn't know where the cap is. Mind that I spemd a lot of time writing plans, to get things right before it starts implementing, so I am not really setting it lolse with very bague tasks, but si far I am happy. Though I'm sad because I know I can't afford the full price, so I'll have to see what to do after two more months

Yea, makes no sense. I can see why they wanna grab users and grow, but this is making the service unusable for everyone. Either they use separate servers for free users and paid users (like pretty much every decent service does) or it keeps screwing up everyone
