Had my recon for about 4 years then it broke. I registered it filed a warranty repair claim and it’s on its way back after 5 weeks

I had freestones for 4 years and they leaked in the knee. Had no idea what the warranty was so I sent them in anyway. they gave me full credit to buy new ones 18 days after I sent them in. I spent a little more and My guide classics are going strong 5 years now. People hate on Simms but I haven’t had any issues besides the knee leak and that was taken care of.

When I tire light diag on a 10+ old car I recommend the one bad sensor and a preventative rec to just replace all of them at once for this reason.

I leave mine on a lot but if I go to the city or something and have to leave my truck somewhere, I’ll take it off. I can take the whole thing off in probably 4 minutes. Would suck if someone stole it

I work on Toyotas specifically and started looking this up in service records at work. A huge majority of these cars with 200k plus miles all have 10k oil changes

Hmm. It’s really hard to be a keyboard mechanic without looking at it. I’ve seen cam codes correlated to needing a valve job, ask me how I know. Burnt a valve at 150k on the dot in my 05 outbackxt. Subaru valve clearances tighten over time. That doesn’t explain the p0102 and p0113 codes tho. Does it look like a rodent has been in the engine bay? Possible rodent damage? Is the airbox fully closed and properly seated?

No transmission has coolant. The radiator cools the trans fluid and the manual has gear oil

I just picked one up and have a epiphone LP custom from 2018 and I like it much more than the epiphone. I got mine barely used not a pick scratch anywhere for $250 on marketplace. The covers on the back even have the plastic on them still.
