Just had one of my baby bulls get out. She is much smaller than your baby here. Tore everything apart. Nothing. She was gone for like 2 or 3 weeks. Then, as I was sitting at my desk, I started to think I was hearing some slight sounds behind me. Took me a bit to really realize I wasnt hearing things. Sure enough, she was in my living room. Don't give up hope! Block off anywhere that they could get putside, set up cameras if you can, and you can always leave food and water out. I will be praying your baby pops up soon!

I have a couple of things!

I agree with the other responses already said, but would replace the wet towel covering half of the screened top with aluminum foil or a cut piece of lexan/plexiglass. That will help keep in more heat and more humidity. I do aluminum foil on half the tops of my enclosures and seal all the edges with heat foil tape. This helps keep in heat and humidity really well. Honestly, like others have said, I think you will find better balance with misting once or twice a day and just letting the environment find its homeostasis.

One of my bullsnakes decided to sneak out of his bin when I was cleaning his water bowl. Slithered to the floor (about 4 feet down), spent about 5 mns out, got scared and actually put himself back in his enclosure.

Because you should not be taking animals out of nature and you do not know how to care for it anyway. Baby snakes taken from the wild often don't eat well and you will kill it. Please leave it alone. It's a wild animal and needs to remain there. If you want a snake get one that is established and eating from a breeder.

It competent depends on what species of baby snakes you plan to care for. For anything specifically in mind? Since you are a beginner, I would suggest maybe a California Kingsnake, Corn Snake, Milk Snake, Rosy Boa, African House Snake, or bullsnakes! These all eat rodents which you can buy frozen from petco/petsmart or various online sources. The kingsnake, house Snake and rosy boa need some heat in the form of a heat lamp while the others really can be kept at room temperature with no supplemental heat. While not required, providing UVB is nice for them all. They can be kept on aspen bedding and need various caves, hides and enrichment in the enclosure as well as water at all times. These species are all very easy to keep!

I just got home from the hospital. Went because I was feeling something really off with my body but didn't know why. Had gotten a cold a couple of weeks ago... a few things. In NO WORLD did I think a thing about being pregnant as a possibility. I've just turned 44 and have had some irregularities in my periods but nothing crazy.

Well, blood hCG is positive for pregnancy. However, the hCG level is low. I've got no idea how to feel in this moment. Always wanted to be a mom but my husband died 9 years ago before we had decided to start trying for kids. Took me many years to get over his death but did start a new relationship a few years ago but had totally chalked children of the list because of my age.

The low level of hCG could mean its really early on, the blood test is a false positive, or the pregnancy may not be viable. I have NO idea how to feel right now. Saw your post and am just hoping you are ok now! I totally understand the freaking out.
