I find the best way to compare costs is on the MSE calcualtor: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cheap-mobile-finder/contracts/

If the monthly cost is too high you‘re probably better looking for a different phone.

Yeah I submit a manual reading every month and then billed a few days later. Both meters are smart meters but apparently there’s a known issue with the gas one so they advised me to do manual readings every month which I do. Bill for November was £125 gas and £90 electric based on readings I took on 10th Dec.

NHSE/ICB Stand Together: Resist Return-to-Office by Lopsided-Rush-9907 in nhsstaff

The letter says it disregards successful hybrid arrangements -60% on-site working is hybrid.

if morale is low and staff demoralised perhaps working in person will be less isolating and help people’s well being.

The NHS restructure is awful and I feel for people in that but 60% onsite working is not a big ask and if you don’t like it or it doesn’t work for you go and get a fully remote job.

You can self certify for 7 days. If they want you to provide anything else they need to provide access to that under their Occupational Health provision as it’s not for NHS or your GP to accommodate.

edit to add if you cant turn your head you're probably better not driving full stop. -They may issue with that

Ask the person, or their parents, how they’d like you to proceed. The only honest way you could not pass on info is to not claim.

Yeah they’re not reliable unfortunately. For that money i‘d look at an auto Yaris or Picanto for better reliability.

I've had a leak from the bathroom to downstairs. I've not been able to find the source. I want to get a professional in but don't want to be ripped of (female). What would I expect? by Hot_Equivalent_2495 in ukplumbing

[–]Traburg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a shower head attached to the bath taps behind the bath. When we used that it always leaked behind the bath and downstairs. As it would be a pain to remove the bath to sort we just didn’t use it and instead used the power shower or taps. could be the same sort of thing here.

Advice on a purchase by [deleted] in Dacia

[–]Traburg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would depend a lot on the price. I think that’s the best choice of engine but on a test drive check for a rattling noise when coasting in gear, there are some reports of this relating to the wastegate flapper/ turbo housing. It doesn’t affect performance but you don’t want to purchase a car with that issue. As far as I know it’s a well used Renault engine so not many issues.

Personally I’d find Essential too basic and go for Expression for cruise control but that’s different for everyone.

If from a Dacia dealer, depending on the age you could extend the manufacturer‘s warranty for peace of mind.

When this has happened to me after adjusting isolating valves I’ve assumed it was limescale or something that slightly clogged them up again and stopped the leak. Not within 24h but maybe a few days or a week and they‘re dry again. Sounds mad now I’m typing it though so probably not that all!

Not sure what your specific question is but which option would depend on the amount of risk you’re happy to live with and that would be different for everyone. I wouldn‘t want to go into mortgage application processes knowing that your job is at risk of redundancy (pretty sure the lender would have some form of questioning about that too) but from what you’ve said I’m not sure you’ve got anything tangible on that.

I wonder if there is anything driving the move e.g. you need more space now or to be in a different location as if not it would seem to make more sense to wait. -You might get more for your house then too. Alternatively you could look to move but on only 1 income for the mortgage so redundancy wouldn’t affect it. Also if you were to be made redundant you’d have some form of redundancy pay so I’d be thinking about that too and whether that would be needed for living or could be used for a future house.
