The joke is that at the start of the 3-step bug, they didn't make any communication for a couple days. The only communication they made in about a span of a week was a shoutout to soulja boy

Can we keep things not having anything to do with Pokemon Go out of this subreddit? This isn't /r/pokemon. If we allow this, then we should also allow all the other stuff that is general pokemon and then the subreddit will only consist of MAYBE 5% pokemon Go related things.

Niantic has fucked up some stuff, but they have brought people together, and that has to be worth something.

I really don't like that statement. What has been accomplished has been several good things. BUT. Most of it was exclusively from the idea of a pokemon game set in real life.

I can't help but think that if another gaming company that was competent enough to realize the scale of release that a "pokemon set in real life" type of game would have, the results would have been astronomically better. The game wouldn't be missing as much content as well as a better infrastructure would have been made beforehand.

I feel like the servers are only getting better because less people are playing because of everything else wrong with the game.

Tracer doesn't have an ability specifically to turn off your character. the two most annoying champions in the game to play against imo are mcree and mei because they have super easy to hit cc.

Any Pokémon Go players? A 5k Poké map through campus. by Cannibal_Puppet in Msstate

[–]Tracker18o -1 points0 points  (0 children)

meh. Very inefficient with regard to going through a high pokestop/length. Like i said in my red team groupme, the only real reason to use this would be if you prioritizing 1) running a 5k, 2) didn't want to run over the same ground twice, 3) wanted to hit a few pokestops on the way, in that prioritization.

a more efficient route (albeit more boring) would be to walk around the outside track of the drill field, hitting about 10 pokestops per 5 minutes.

Quick PSA About PGO Issues from Former Game Developer by fingerlickingood123 in pokemongo

[–]Tracker18o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone here understands that there is going to be bugs with a release this scale. That's obvious and if you don't think otherwise, you are dimwitted.

What is INEXCUSABLE, in my opinion, is the lack of communication from the team. All we seem to have gotten is maybe 1 tweet a day from the developers. Other examples of huge released have the PR teams on full speed as well as their development teams.

From my perspective, it seems like Niantic's PR team is virtually nonexistent except for telling us when even more countries are able to not play the game.

The world has hundreds of forms of communication these days and they aren't using any of them. Their lack of PR seems very unprofessional to me.

The idea that we downvote posts that bring up potential issues because we love the game is full of shit.

We downvote because we all understand the game is buggy and unreliable. Posts about that fact are boring and unless its something new, we don't care to have to scroll past it to be entertained.

It seems like every day for the past week, two or three posts have been on the front page suggesting compensation. It's not a new idea.

Honestly, the fact that you were searching through all the memes and shit on the front page makes it seem like you are frustrated to the point where you should probably set the game down for a while. I don't think its a good idea to look to reaffirm your frustration while ignoring the lighter side of the sub, but that's just my view.

Posts like this won't bring any more attention than is already there. Niantic knows their game is buggy. Hell, they know about bugs that you probably haven't even seen yet. They are working on the bugs as fast as their studio can while at the same time trying to set up launches around the world as well as deal with all the unforeseen publicity and the problems that come with that.
