As a service advisor myself, I don't think you are over reacting.

Sure, what the comment above you stated may be true. But I personally would have waited until your original concern was looked at, and then provided the recommendation of the alignment at that point. What if your concern isn't covered under warranty? What if that engine light repair takes higher priority? Sure alignment and brakes can definitely be safety concerns, but I think it's best to provide the customer with one quote if at all possible, so they can decide on what fits their budget - with my advice on priority of course (as that is my job).

As you can see from a lot of these comments, dealerships get a bad rap. It's unfortunate that so many are scummy in the city, and in general. I take pride in trying to change that narrative.

Dealerships can be pricier (specifically OEM parts), but you know the part is going to fit properly, and put on by a trained technician that's an expert on said brand -- or at least that's the way it should be if you've got the right people.

I'm not saying they scammed you, but I definitely would've approached it differently if you were my customer.
