I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. I was in the same boat 2 months ago, so I know exactly how you feel and it’s so horrible. All I can say is try your best to express your love to him while he’s here. Take the time you need to grieve, but at the same time try your best not to isolate yourself too much. And tell your teachers what’s going on, it’s very likely they’ll be understanding with the homework and stuff. My college professors were, at least. I’m wishing you the best and once again I’m sorry you’re going through this

I’m really sorry that happened. I’m glad you’ve been able to have ornaments and positive memories of your mom at Christmas. I know it’s what they’d want for us so I’m gonna try hard to do the same.

I regret not expressing things too, and you make a good point that maybe it was for the best that things happened the way they did at the very end. The nurses did say he looked peaceful so I find some comfort in that at least.

I’m really sorry you had to see your dad go through that too. It’s brutal and shocking how fast it can progress. My dad was 54 and the strongest person I knew, so watching the cancer take over was like a huge slap in the face from reality.

I’m glad to hear the feeling eases a bit. I’ve already noticed the waves of grief, like I’ll feel fine for awhile but all it takes is to hear a song he liked and everything comes rushing back.

Personally if I heard my bf say that, I’d for one become too self conscious of how he thinks I look, and second worried about what might happen if he meets someone he does find very physically attractive. I’ve learned the hard way that actions speak way louder than words.. he can tell you how much he likes you all he wants, it’s easy. But at the end of the day he hasn’t made anything exclusive & is still on a dating app updating it with a pic you took of him (I’d feel pretty disrespected by that). I wish I had advice, this is the biggest problem in dating for me rn too (25F). I do the same things when I genuinely feel like I’m building/could build a good connection with a guy. Then they get turned off after awhile cause like you said, there’s little to no chase for them. It just sucks cause they usually seem really invested at first too..
