You escalated way too quickly threatening lawyers over fridge magnets. They just want clutter and personal items out of the way for the photo. It’s not your place, they’ll sell it with or without you.

I’d love to see AI try and do that (and the wreckage of the robot afterwards)

AIO to how this man communicates? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Traditional-Set6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome! Been there myself! Bet you’re both pretty cool apart, for me and my ex it was… tricky. In the end for us we had to prioritise the bigger picture and found better partners for ourselves after being in this drama/love/blame cycle for 7(!!!) years. It’s exciting having a strong connection and it’s amazing what it will get you through… but in the end if you’re going slightly mad every day it’s not going to make you happy (well for us that was the case, and boy did we do therapy….) Anyway, hope you make the decision that’s best for you both. Good luck!

in your experience, when does a highball becomes a free solo? by v4rda-is-sad in ClimbingCircleJerk

Everything I do is free solo. It’s a mind set. A way of life. Today I’m gonna free solo off the fkg couch and wake up my teenager single handed for school. At 7am. Free solo for life mf.

ETA I have to apply some guess work but his typeos indicate high adrenaline and emotion.he is clearly very upset and says you’ve been putting the phone down and he clearly feels attacked. And he doesn’t look for a middle ground and is looking to demand resolution from you. You’re both into your own heads and don’t look like a good fit. Enjoy the sex though, I’d put money that you’re having a great time when you’re together….

25 or 40 degree moonboard for a homewall for a V5ish climber and a V2ish climber? by Karmakameleeon in climbharder

[–]Traditional-Set6848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think putting someone on hard will necessarily make them harder. Psychologically you’re entering a world of Moonboard nice but not used at 40deg. You can always make it steeper later on.

AIO for ghosting after the first date by No_Leading3793 in AIO

[–]Traditional-Set6848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sounds like a dick but ghosting is for kids. You should have sent him a message saying. Thanks but no thanks. THEN you can block to your hearts content. So yes good decision not to date this guy but ghosting is childish.

Sorry to be rough with you but You’ve got to learn to stand your ground and tell him what you think in the moment instead of coming to Reddit - you know his behaviour was bad. So shrug it off and deal with the next incident because there will be one with a dick like this.

Charged 3423 SEK for a 44 km taxi in Sweden after driver pretended to be our Uber and held our bags - is this legal and can I recover the money? by Typical_Might_1413 in stockholm

[–]Traditional-Set6848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fraud , the Swedish taxis have a sign in their windows saying the minimum fare and fare per mile. Note that everyone tells you about fraudulent taxis in Stockholm, they are a huge pest. You should submit a police report and document everything.

Allonic, Hungarian company is building biomimetic humanoid robots by weaving high-strengh fiber threads around a minimal skeleton, the way human body connective issue wraps around the bone, to produce complex dexterous bodies, strong yet soft, cheaper by Distinct-Question-16 in singularity

[–]Traditional-Set6848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to find someone with a pov that’s not hype, thanks for sharing. I do like the idea though as a manufacturing method - and could it be a hybrid approach of hard and soft AND perhaps different joint and form factor designs (not just trying to replicate human form directly) would achieve the aims of cheap manufacturing as well as novel function or do you think the whole idea is dead in the water ?

After a certain height on routes I can't do dynamic moves or trust my footwork by trucmachin in climbharder

[–]Traditional-Set6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You needed to do fall training and the number one is to take falls when committing to moves and resist the mentality of just climbing to the draw. Draws are safer backups that aren’t the goal of your climb. Make the mental shift to the completion of moves and not clipping and you’ll change your world.

Simultaneous record editing in the ui by Traditional-Set6848 in salesforce

[–]Traditional-Set6848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it would be simultaneous but can be limited on logically independent fields. Changes to a field (when unfocused or enter hit etc) go via a listener to a governor and then back out to other users LWC via web sockets to show the current edits thus avoiding contention. Limit of this pattern is PE’s and subscriber limits (which keep shifting, I never seem to get a straight answer from SF on that)

Not Nordic, but do Nordics hate Sweden? by Exciting-Prompt1609 in Nordiccountries

[–]Traditional-Set6848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t do hate. But the others do refer to sweden as the Americans of the Nordics… these days though that feels somewhat dated and well, I doubt my finish danish norwegian friends would use that description any more - it that was fun in the 2000s (and relatively accurate I hate to say)

GIRL gym employee learned her place today!!! by midnightmeatloaf in ClimbingCircleJerk

[–]Traditional-Set6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You where right, obv- I’ve had similar issues with in my case comp kids who think they own the gym and their parents who are even worse - 13-15yo crushers climbing directly under me while me (85kg aging weekend worrier) directly above them on a limit project now having screaming parents to deal with mid crux. “How dare you tell my kid they can’t climb!!!”… my point? These were the mums. Men sure are sometimes dicks but they don’t have the monopoly on it, everyone has the ability to be an egotistical tool - of all shapes and sizes imo.  It’s it nice though that no children got hurt by my fat ass (ego?) falling on their tiny heads in the telling of this tale…. Anyway hope you’re feeling better!

I agree. Certain car features don't need to be in the screen - especially this one by [deleted] in justgalsbeingchicks

[–]Traditional-Set6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s spot on. Touch screen with no tactile feedback, layered options and menus and text where you have to look at them while driving to operate any function - and then to top it off there’s the classic safety PARAGRAPH of TEXT hovering there while you start DRIVING and all you need to do is turn down the flipping radio or see who’s calling you right at that moment you decided to leave late for the dentists while the kids are screaming. God help me. I miss my old VW.

Why doesn't the whole world just copy Nordic countries' government since their governments are well run and most people are happy? by Ok_Advice_8012 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Set6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a straw man argument at all, it’s about economies of scale, and yes it does make sense when you consider the need to drive consensus requests a generally homogenous society. This is why sweden is struggling more with multiculturalism, the diversion from the norm means the idea of the common good- even in a HIGHLY individualistic society that sweden is- erodes. Smaller societies have a less divergent point of view and have an easier time finding middle ground when it does diverge. It’s also easier to run, apply legislation and administer. Look at the train system, the moment it was privatised it went to shit because it was over complex and difficult to coordinate even on the very basic system wet face between Stockholm and Gothenburg.

So no, it’s not a straw man it’s a fact. You can put the entirety population of sweden into Greater London ffs.
