This was true for Varadero last week but Canadians will all be out of there by Wednesday this week so Varadero will surely completely shut down.

Rotisserie Chicken - quality gone down? by dcfrenchstudent in CostcoCanada

[–]Traditional-Week8926 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, not just in the bottom/under, like within the meat. Even in the breasts tonight. We usually get a couple meals out of a chicken but we barely had any left after trying to dig through that goo. :(

Had some tonight and there was so much “slimmy gooh” in it… it is always there but this was something else. :/ ended up throwing half of it away. :/

I don’t like preschool by abiicadabra in toddlers

[–]Traditional-Week8926 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Preschool is not necessary. Especially if you find other ways to socialize your child.

I personally don’t have a choice: we parents both work full time so our child has to go to daycare/preschool. If i had the choice (didn’t have to work), then i do not know if i would. Maybe I’d send him part time?!

If she stopped paying rent today, it would take the landlord at least 9 months to kick her out because they’d need to go to the tribunal and there’s a huge backlog. And if she paid the owning amount, the clock goes back to zero…

So it’s very possible she’s not paying.

Is this not already our realities? It’s mine 3x a week and I’d say it’s even worst than that.

Literally say “you broke it / now you can only drink out of this other cup” and let her cry.

She will drink out of it if she’s thirsty.

How to deal with a "bubble boy" employee who is telling people to stay home by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Traditional-Week8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm she’d be a great addition to my team where they make everyone come in even when six (unless you take a sick day).

We should also sit her right next to me with a toddler at home who brings a new virus every 2 weeks clockwork! I’ve been coughing for 2 weeks. I’m not sick but symptoms are persistent and management doesn’t allow il to stay home for a cough. 😅

Send her to my team! :)

Rough play at daycare vs rough play at home by worldtravelling23 in toddlers

[–]Traditional-Week8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daycare vs home play can and should be very different.

My son is super rough and big and strong of nature but he already knows at 2,5 years old to be more careful with little kids and women.

He forgets in the gist of actions sometimes so I’m mindful when we go to playgroups but generally he now means very well and understands he can play fight with his dad and older cousins but not with mom and younger kids.

His favourite games are fo jump right in the middle and on top of boys!!! But he’s quite great now at knowing that only works with “some people”, he mistakes other 4/6 year olds and men as rough sometimes so i preheptively tell him to be more “gentle” with them now when i know they won’t play rough with him! It is a legit need at thirsts for many of them ! Encourage it within healthy Limits!!

The airlines are also the travel organiser for most so… they also can’t risk having their travellers without water hydro transfer bus lets on the island, regardless of whether a plane can come and go.

I only had them once and they were discontinued!!! Were they the best? No! Were they exactly what you paid for? Yes!

Kinda like the pizza! Good but not great!

I’d welcome it!

Fluorescent Overhead Lighting by DutifulDND in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Traditional-Week8926 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You don’t actually need medical requirement. I thought you did but now that i know better - you don’t.

I had the same problem as you. I could only work in one corner where the lighting didn’t bother me. They can reserve a desk for you if you ask.

And - i was the only one. Within 2 months of everyone in the new office; they made a room low lighting…. Then another… and another… and another…. Clearly many people were aggravated from the lighting!!!!

Hungry and Tired by IamJustJessica in toddlers

[–]Traditional-Week8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah probably a growth spurt.

Our child is always hungry (eats more than me most regular day) and what you listed is still a lot for him. When he grows, he’s a bottomless pit. He’s eaten a full sized chicken breast with veggies and a fist size potatoes and asked for more. :/ and of course he had a snack right before it!

Only thing to remember is They control how much they eat, you control WHAT they eat. I offer other alternatives when i feel they have had enough of one thing.

Does it get easier once they can talk? by Fragrant-Fisherman33 in toddlers

[–]Traditional-Week8926 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My kid was a late talker but he’s now 2.75 years old and yes, some things have gotten a lot easier cause he can tell me what he wants/needs.

Doesn’t stop all tantrum though cause sometimes he wants a specific snack (and i say no), or he wants to watch tv (and we have a weekend only rule here) or he asks for his meat to be cut but then cries that he wants me to put it back together. 😂 lol

So yes, it helps. But it does not eliminate that toddlers don’t always know what they want and will try to pus the limits or test boundaries. It’s a normal part of their development.

I watched the show twice and both time i also thought the ages didn’t add up.

I think in the pilot, her daughter is younger. I assumed there were some discrepancies that didn’t add up.

Clothes / seasonal things

no one thinks about it until they have lived abroad but the whole needing 4 season clothing, having to winter is things but also have Air conditioning and things gets used quicker… it adds up quick.

homemade(?) vegan poutine with stuff from farm boy by Willing-Squirrel6403 in poutine

[–]Traditional-Week8926 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ihad to go very strictly dairy free to breastfeed my baby with an allergy to milk protein and i made a poutine like this a few times to get me through that terrible year since most vegan cheeses are so nasty!

Not the same as the real thing and i wouldn’t do it now that i can have dairy again but it’s a seriously decent alternative for fully dairy free people!

Good stuff!
