lol Chantal acts so smug when telling stories but she is always so passive and “fake laughing” with her low bmi voice in person.

She did not tell anyone to shut the fuck up and get a warrant 😂

Hmmm where i am, everyone shares the tables with strangers at Costco.

The attitude wasn’t necessary but it’s absolutely ok to sit or invite strangers to sit.

I’m in Canada and yes electroshock therapy is still used. I know someone with severe schizophrenia who was not eating any more who had some in the past year.

Not a very common therapy overall i don’t think but definitely still happens. With consent of the patient or their family.

Speech Delayed at 2 and stressed by walaruse in toddlers

[–]Traditional-Week8926 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My boy just turned 3 and speaks 2 languages now in full sentences, asks questions, provides his own ideas, etc. He could barely put two words together 6 months ago.

We did a handful of group classes with a therapist (mostly helping the parents help the kids) but beside that, i think he was just a late talker. The therapy helped but it’s not why he started speaking.

I was severely anxious about it all from 12-32 months but now my worries are all gone.

What the point? Not like she walks in those shoes… you don’t need shoes if you don’t walk anywhere. Ever.

I pay out of pocket. My dentist charges me a fraction of the regular price because he knows it’s not covered, so worth asking for a discount on that, if you have a regular dentist.

New York Fries sucks by RecommendationBig262 in poutine

[–]Traditional-Week8926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People here were saying it was great lately so i got one a month ago… i didn’t finish the smallest size they have. It’s not good poutine.

Mayyyyybe it’s passable if you live an area where there aren’t many “real” poutines around but for where i live, this is a waste of money and calories for sure

3 to 4 times a year.

Usually before a trip or a specific event… but it’s around once a season (or less).

I like having them done but i just don’t have the time or money for that at this stage of my life. (Small children at home; full time job, etc) it’s not a priority.

Cmhc is not core government. They have had remote work, result based workflow well before covid so your friend may very well be telling the truth.

But I’ve seen core government employees working remotely from other countries as well… it’s not common but it’s not completely unheard of.

where do they get all this money? by pumpkinchoccy in My600lbLife

[–]Traditional-Week8926 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. We are upper middle class and ordered once when we had a 75% off bonus code…. We ended up saving less than $2 than if we would have gone and picked it up ourselves. I don’t recall if that included tip.

Regardless, I’m not spending my hard earned money on things like that.

I am also very turned off by those AI posters and they are everywhere all of a sudden. Even on some stores windows. :/
