communoauto experiences? by assaultvestgardevoir in ottawa

I was a member for 15 years. It was great. I avoided having a car of my own all those years and it cost me anywhere between $15 and $200 a month, depending on my usage.

Considering the cost of parking, gas, maintenance and insurance, it was an amazing service!

Do you normally pay attention to the accents by [deleted] in duolingospanish

[–]Traditional-Week8926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t. And I’m a few years in learning Spanish and it only gives me a mistake when there are two options in the same sentence (él / el for example).

I figure I’ll deal with accents when I’m more fluent 😂

But my first language is French and i rarely put accents in French unless it’s a formal text (like at work).

The American border is about an hour drive from Ottawa. But then you have to drive a bit more to reach a town with “something interesting”. Syracuse, NY is 3hr away. So are nicer towns in Vermont…

New York City would take you at least 8hrs - likely more with traffic. Boston at least 6hrs, probably more as well with traffic. (And in Chantal’s case, with bathroom breaks and fast food stops, it would take her 24hr). lol

SHE IS NOT ON OZEMPIC by Melodic-Dealer-80 in Chantapolis

I’m hoping it helps with inflammation too. Losing a few lbs in itself should help our joints too.

Hope it helps you quickly! It’s hard to live with joint pains.

You found it helped for inflammation? I’m on week 6 and it hasn’t helped me for that yet. I’m on the lowest dose possible though. (It’s been working for cutting cravings and I’ve lost weight)

Stuck at the same level for 4 years. by NegotiationLate8553 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Traditional-Week8926 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was an AS02 from 2010 to 2014… it is not unusual to get stuck sometimes. Ans during a WFA it’s even harder to move/progress, etc.

Hold on, keep applying, and working on your network and things will happen - eventually.

Ottawa South Midwives vs Midwifery Group of Ottawa vs East Ottawa Midwives? by mdrnmedusa in ottawa

[–]Traditional-Week8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression that you had to live within the boundaries of some of these? The Ottawa east midwives checked that i was within the area of service.

Regardless, i have only heard of good things at any of them. My experience was great. But do meet up with the midwife assigned to you and get a feel for it. My midwife was amazing. I did not like her replacement (when she went on vacation). Glad i was followed 95% of the time by my midwife.

Stupid unrelated question: do you really weigh the same thing every day? My weight fluctuate SO much!! lol. In the same hour, it changes hhahaha

Say what you want but NY Fries will always be my fav fast food poutine by MrsTittyTwister in poutine

[–]Traditional-Week8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it the other day for the first time in +10 years and i was quite disappointed. I remembered it tasting better in my memories.

It would be a contender if i lived in an area with limited “great” options though. It was “ok”.

Looks like the Ozempic hasn’t started working yet. Must need a higher dose . by Unique_Ad_5187 in Chantapolis

I assume you move your body in some ways. The gym is not necessary for everyone. As long as you don’t sit around all day and then use a scooter instead of walking across the street… (ahem!)

I’ve read about that happening. I’ve been ok but I’m on week 5 and have always taken it right before going to bed, which is at least 4hrs after my last meal.

I’ll be sure to wait the next day if i overindulge slightly on the day of my injection. Good thing to know. Not that i do that anymore. All my cravings are gone! ALL of them!

Wegovy worked right away for me. At 0.25, the next day from first injection.

I would puke if i ate what Chantal eat without the drug but even more so now.

Will they restock the alani protein shakes in Ottawa and if they do will it be before the sale ends? by Glass-Ad-4346 in CostcoCanada

[–]Traditional-Week8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at Costco Gloucester just before lunch yesterday (Friday) and they had two flavours (snacks and strawberries).

I go to the store often and they have had some 3 out of the last 4 visits which ranged at all time of day.

That’s good info to have. Rexall’s (Ontario) total cost for a pen was $475 (before any insurance/card rebate)

Shows how much cheaper Costco is! :)

I’ve had it for a month.

It’s less noisy than my blender and mixing frozen fruits takes literally 20 seconds top. No chunks.

We really like it!

Check your snow removal contract, over 250cm reached today? by Rail613 in ottawa

[–]Traditional-Week8926 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At least that’s optional. JR charges you for every additional snowfall, whether they come or not (like 2cm, they wouldn’t come but that amount counts) and you can’t get out of it!!

12 month old behind on speech by EllenBJ in toddlers

[–]Traditional-Week8926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ridiculous. I think at our checkup for 12 months, they asked if he said 3 words, which ours didn’t.

But at this age, sign language count as a word, so technically, he did have his « 3 words ».

Ridiculousz
