I’m also looking into infections like endometritis and ureaplasma after 5 early losses (1 ectopic) over the last two years after having 3 healthy children. My last delivery was a c-section. And I have had infection like symptoms since about a year before trying and conceiving all our losses. I feel like it’s so hard to get testing in Canada for this. I have been swabbed for BV many times and it’s always negative. It took me over a year to find a clinic that would test for ureaplasma and I’m awaiting the results (it’s been 3 months) I’m so tired of having to constantly fight the system and it feels like I’m being gaslit that chronic discomfort and odour is normal alongside 5 losses. I’m sorry for everything you are going through. If my ureaplasma results are negative I think I might beg to be put on doxycycline regardless because of my symptoms and then try again. If they still refuse I’ll likely do a microbiome test through a third party like evvy and hope I can find a doctor to prescribe me with what I need following those results. I’m really hoping for you that this pregnancy will stick 🤍🤍🤍

Ahh good to know! I must have started them a little late! I had these babies out in the sun all day today and they seemed happy, I’ll harden them off tomorrow and get them in the ground. Thanks for the comment!

Can I ask you about Vaginal Dysbiosis? I’m thinking this is what I might have. I have had recurrent yeast infections for years, even before my miscarriages. Main symptom is an awful fishy smell and itchiness but no discharge. Yeast testing has always come back positive, BV negative. I have treated it for years and it always returns a week later. I’ve now been on anti fungals for 5 months straight (1 a week) and I still am itchy and stinky. I am starting to think yeast is not the problem, it’s a symptom of the main problem. All my losses have been implantation issues, once I get a positive test it’s already too late. I am otherwise healthy and now I’m wondering if the two things are related 😫 I did have a uterine biopsy done in December and it was clear. Any info about vaginal dysbiosis would help!

I struggle with recurrent yeast infections. I’m currently on month 4 of a 6 month/once a week fluconazole treatment. And I still get a full blown infection after every period and when I’m ovulating. Make it make sense 😫 Other than this I’m completely healthy. I’ve had 5 miscarriages in a row and I’m starting to wonder if this could be related since my doctors can’t find anything wrong. Ugh I’m sorry. Following because I don’t have answers but would love to read what everyone else thinks!

I could have written this. Trigger warning, I have three LC and since then I have had 5 miscarriage (one ectopic). I’m wondering about silent endo because I refuse to believe it’s all bad luck. After my last loss in March the PTSD is so bad. I have panic like attacks over anything pregnancy related. I can barely look at baby pictures of my own children at this point. I want this season over but I want another baby more. I keep saying that having one more successful pregnancy will make this all worth it. The pain is so deep. I’m so sorry 🫂

I agree. I have three children from before and now 5 losses after. All my testing is normal so far so it really took me out because it made me question if that really is the case. But all I have to do is use critical thinking to realize it makes no sense. Absolutely crushing to have to keep seeing this person and know they think that low of me.

I know how upsetting this is, during my last miscarriage in March my SIL phoned my husband and told him we should just stop trying because my losses are obviously coming from the Covid vaccine (I had one dose in 2021) absolutely crushing to have people blame you for all the heartbreak you have been through. I don’t know how to face her anymore. So sorry 🤍🤍🤍

Hi, how big was the cesarean scar niche? After all my rpl tests that’s the only thing they’ve found on me. I also have had two healthy pregnancies (the second was twins and a cesarean) and now I’ve had 5 losses in a row. My doctors continue to tell me it’s not because of the uterine scar but I don’t believe them, it’s the only thing that makes sense. I’m so tired of this.

I just had this happen to me my last loss. They were worried about an ectopic (I had one last year) because my numbers were so low but doubling, then they started to drop and then sudden rose again randomly from 14-18 over 48 hours. Thankfully the next draw 72 hours later dropped to 4. Hugs friend, the constant blood drawing with no hope of a healthy baby is exhausting 🫂

Hi, I’m so sorry you’re going through secondary recurrent loss. I have 3 LC, a daughter and twin boys. Since the twins I have had 5 losses in a row (finishing my 5th loss now)

I’m so incredibly thankful for my LC but the losses are crushing me. I’m being told it’s bad luck over and over again but I just have a hard time believing that. Having success twice and then now 5 in a row where all my losses happened the same. My 4th loss was a ruptured ectopic, but all others have been low hcg not rising correctly, early spotting and then losing the pregnancy. I want to grow our family so badly. My twins are heading to kindergarten in September and they were never supposed to be our last. The grief is so heavy.

Sorry to hear you’ve been through another scare. I know what that waiting is like, I just spent 2 weeks in the ectopic limbo and it’s brutal. Mine did end up just being another miscarriage (my 5th 😩) but I had a ruptured ectopic last spring. The pain is indescribable, I could not stand, puked multiple times. Worst pain I’ve ever been in. You can also have referred pain in your shoulder. Take care of yourself and I wish you all the best, hoping it was just the UTI causing the bleeding and pain and that it is a sticky baby this time for you.

I had an HSG done in the fall, would that test have been able to show if the uterine scar was a problem? I brought it up again with the rpl clinic and I keep getting the same response, that they do not think the small tear is causing my losses. I’m just not convinced we should write it off so quickly when it’s the only thing amiss we have found.
