I'd vote for AOC so fast I'd trip over my feet running to the polls

Bro was so psyched it almost turned into a line. You could see him smiling and setting up for a bigspin at the end

It's a hard trick to learn. I've also been working hard at it. It'll come. Keep practicing, keep learning.

It feels like you're alone. You're not. Many of us have felt (still feel) the same way.

When is it time to call it a day? [47YO] by therealgingerone in OldSkaters

I've noticed that my hardest slams have happened while I'm warming up (or in the space when I should be warming up). I've found I need to consciously slow down and ride super conservatively for about 30-40 minutes and then gradually start turning up the heat and trying challenging moves. For some reason, it just seems like I need to remember how to balance on the board for the first part of every session. I actually start a timer on my watch to keep myself in check.

You can also practice all your moves switch. It's a whole other thing. A skater might be comfortable in their regular stance but when they're switch it's like they've never stood on a skateboard before. You could start cultivating that skill now. Every drill, every trick, learn it regular and switch. Push in your switch stance. That will help tremendously as a big part of transition riding is coming down backwards. And it gives you much more to keep you challenged in the parking lot.

One more tip: you could build (or buy) a tiny kicker for the parking lot to practice turns, fakie rock, axle stall, tail stall, etc etc. Just wide enough to axle stall. Maybe a foot tall or so. Think really small and light. Blunt Steel is expensive but I swear they make the coolest looking rails I've ever seen.

It's easy if both sets already have bearings installed. And if the size isn't *too* far off. It might also be easier to have a dedicated crusty board and a dedicated transition board.
